Between You and Us

Dear Reader,
Jesus Christ once told His disciples, “Unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven.” The most popular meaning of this sentence is that one needs to become as pure, as creative, as innocent, as joyous, as trusting and as centered in the present as the child is in order to become GOD. In saying this, Jesus has also given us a hint about the actual nature of GOD: GOD is a child!

Between You and usLook at this world, this beautiful creation with infinite variety of living and non-living things. Look at the brilliant patterns of stars scattered across the sky. Look anywhere and you find beauty in creation. Don’t you feel it is the handiwork of a Divine child? A lonely child who got bored one day and, in a ‘big bang’, painted the beautiful picture of this Universe on the canvas of His mind?

Yes, GOD is a child, not only when He creates this Universe, but also when He comes down as a Human in order to set things right for mankind. By his example, He shows man how to stay in touch with the ‘inner child’, in other words the ‘Pure Self’ or ‘Atman’. He shows man how to respect the norms of the society as a grown up individual but still be a child at heart. Want to know more about the Divine Child? Read the cover story ‘A Child among Children’. Enjoy the beautiful photographs that accompany the feature. ‘Divine Impressions’ too carries photographs of a similar nature.

This issue, apart from the usual features, has a story on some pioneering SAI education work going on in Nepal.

There was tremendous response as far as the appeal for help from the Old Students of Swami in America was concerned. We at H2H thank not only the students but every one of you for the enthusiasm you have shown. With your active cooperation and support, we hope to take this message from HEART TO HEART to every heart in this world! May Swami shower His Grace on Us!
