1. Many times Swami in His discourses speaks about Socrates, Plato and Aristotle. The first disciple of Socrates was Plato. Plato was a very mighty person. Plato tried to spread the teachings of Socrates all over the world. He preached that for this world three things are important and necessary: Truth, Goodness and Beauty. What is Beauty? Beauty is not related to the body. Selflessness is beauty. A person who works selflessly is the most beautiful one. These three are also called Nischala (steadiness), Nirmala (purity) Nisvartha (selflessness).

In the enlightening article on ancient Greek philosophy and its similarities with Bhagavan’s teachings (May 1st 2004 issue), there was a mention of an aspect of Greek thinking which chimes exactly with Swami’s own words. What is this aspect?

2. Swami inaugurated “Sathyadeep” – His abode in Mumbai in 1968 and this was followed by the unveiling of “Shivam” in Hyderabad in April 1973. When did He inaugurate “Sundaram” the third of the trilogy – Sathyam, Shivam Sundaram – in Chennai?

3.In our cover story from April 1st 2004 , Sai Leela, we recounted some of Mrs. Vijayakumari’s many amazing experiences from the old days. One such miracle concerned a statue of Vinayaka that Swami created from the sand of the Chitravathi River and gave to her mother which had an unusually small trunk. What was Swami’s reaction to their inquiring about the trunk’s length?

4. In our October 2005 issue, the article “Hurricane Katrina: Are there any lessons to be learnt?” had an amazing tale from 1795 about a British official who was prompted to pray to Lord Rama to save a town from flooding by a nearby reservoir. What happened after he prayed to Lord Rama?

5. The February 2006 cover story “Behind The Glorious 80th Birthday” offered amazing details and inspirational stories from those who took part in the work that went into setting up the mammoth celebrations. Of course, the heroes of the day were the Seva dals. How many helped out on the day of 23rd November 2005?
