Dr. Roger Freedman
Dr. Roger Freedman: Is Director of Clinical Cardiology and Professor of Medicine at the University of Utah Health Sciences Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, and is on the editorial board of Cardiac Electrophysiology Review.
He is also a reviewer for many prestigious journals including Circulation, New England Journal of Medicine, and Journal of the American College of Cardiology.
Dr. Freedman is an expert in pacemakers and anti-arrhythmia devices and he was part of the writing committee that drafted the ACC/AHA/HASPE guidelines for implantation of cardiac pacemakers and anti-arrhythmia devices in 2008.
He is the author of more than 50 original scientific articles and has 18 book chapters. Dr. Freedman first visited SSSIHMS, WF, Bangalore, in 2007 and during that visit implanted ICDs and pacemakers.
Dr. Collin Colwey: Is Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Associate Director of Pediatric Cardiology at the University of Utah School of Medicine. In addition, he is the Director of the Pediatric Cardiac Laboratory at Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City. Dr. Cowley has written over 20 original articles and has given over 30 invited oral presentations. Dr. Colwey has also participated in clinical trials for the Gore Helex atrial septal occluder and the Amplatzer PDA duct occlude.
Dr. Sai Leela Dhanekula: Is an electrophysiologist in private practice in Peoria, Illinois. Dr. Dhanekula studied one year at Sri Sathya Sai University, Anantapur, prior to going to medical school. She has been involved in many clinical trials and has many years of experience in device therapy for heart failure and ventricular arrhythmias.

Dr. Keshav Nayak: Is a Commander in the US Navy and is a Staff Interventional Cardiologist at the Naval Hospital in San Diego, California. Dr. Nayak did most of his primary education at the Sri Sathya Sai Vidha Vihar at Ootacamund and the Sri Sathya Sai Primary School in Puttaparthi. He has received numerous teaching awards and has participated in numerous clinical trials in interventional cardiology. He has also authored numerous scientific articles and 3 book chapters.
Dr. Moeen Abedin: Is assistant Professor of medicine, Electrophysiology section at the University of Oklahoma in Oklahoma city, Oklahoma. Dr Abedin is the author of over 20 original scientific articles and is a member of the prestigious medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha. He has served as a scientific reviewer for numerous prestigious medical journals including: American Journal of Cardiology, American Heart Journal, and Circulation. He was also part of the team from Utah that visited SSSIHMS, Bangalore in 2007.

Dr. Sanjay Shah: Is a cardiology fellow at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. He finished his medical school at the University of California, Irvine and his internal medicine residency at the University of California, San Francisco before joining the fellowship program at the University of Utah. He is a member of the prestigious medial honor society Alpha Omega Alpha and is the coordinator of the trip to SSSIHMS Bangalore in February 2010.

Mr. Ted Zaharias: Is a Territorial Sales Representative for St. Jude Medical and has worked at St. Jude for more than 20 years. Prior to joining St. Jude Medical, Mr. Zaharias was an ICU/CCU nurse in Salt Lake City. He participated during the first visit to SSSIHMS, Bangalore in 2007.
