IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT     Posted on March 29, 2011 at 11:45 am   The following is the statement issued by The Director, Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences, Prasanthi Gram at 9 p.m. on Monday, March 28, 2011.      Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, whose 85th Birthday was celebrated last November, was hospitalized in the afternoon of March 28.  He had developed slowing of heart rate with giddiness. A permanent pacemaker has been implanted. His clinical parameters are satisfactory and His condition stable. Dr. A. N. Safaya Director, SSSIHMS, Prasanthigram Dear reader, Swami had a restful night and is doing well. There is absolutely no room for any anxiety and all indications are that Swami would soon be back with us in the Ashram. Meanwhile, let us all pray to Swami, this time not for ourselves but for His physical well-being.  Swami is above the body; yet, out of infinite compassion for humanity, He has donned one so as to guide us. Right now, humanity is passing through all the crises it is capable of creating for itself.  This is when we need Bhagawan most in His physical aspect and it is our duty wherever we are, to respectfully pray to Him, for Him.
