Dear Reader,
Sairam and Greetings from Prashanti Nilayam.
Prashanti Nilayam sprung to life again after sixty dry and hot summer days when Swami’s car slowly moved into the Sai Kulwant Hall last Saturday, the 18th of June. As usual, it was most unexpected because there were many programmes lined up for the next week in Bangalore and no one imagined He would come so soon. But then, God’s ways are always mysterious. During His six-week stay in Brindavan (Bangalore), every week was marked with a major festivity. Read our Prashanti Diary to get all the details along with photographs.
The highlight of this summer was Swami’s divine visit to Kodaikanal after a hiatus of a year. Thirty seven boys along with a few elders and kids had the opportunity to spend every moment with Bhagavan in His home for 18 precious days. In the words of a student who was part of the group, “Swami gave Himself away completely, especially to the devotees”. You want to know how? Read our cover story. You will know why once Swami referred to Kodaikanal as His Playground!
In the last few weeks there has been lot of news about the G8 countries coming together to provide 100% debt relief to six African nations. The UN, IMF and the World Bank also have shown keen interest. But will a one-time grant abolish the poverty in the region? What lies at the root of the problem? Where is the solution? What are Swami’s views about it? You will find answers to all these in our very detailed article in the feature articles section. There is another feature article from one of our New Zealand readers which will give you beautiful tips on how to add inspiration into your daily work and transform it literally into worship.
Another highlight of this issue, is a report on the 'Miracle Sai School’ of Zambia which recently was awarded the International World Quality Commitment award by Business Initiative Directions in Paris last month. Why is it called a ‘miracle school’? Read our article in the miscellaneous section to find out.
Guru Poornima, the day we adore our Sai as the Supreme Teacher, is round the corner and so, we have a nice personal experience of a visiting professor to the Sai Institute on how Swami is the Ultimate Teacher. Apart from this, try out the newly formatted educative quiz on Swami’s Life and Mission . It’s the 80th year of our Lord and it is time we know everything we can related to His wonderful mission.
Service, Baba has always stressed, is the surest way to purify and divinize ourselves. But how should one serve? What is true service? Are there any guidelines? Our article in the Window to Sai Seva section will tell you about the golden principles of service which is a must read for every Sai worker.
We have started a new service called “Sai Inspires” from mid-June wherein we drop an inspirational message of Swami to the subscribers’ inbox everyday. If you are keen and not yet subscribed, subscribe here. Also, we are in the process of revamping our content, so if you have any suggestions, please write to us at h2h@radiosai.org.
The surest way to make our lives meaningful, as Swami so nicely says, is to love all and serve all. Let’s start our every day with Swami in our thoughts and inspired to share love and be kind. When we have achieved this even to a little extent, that will be our greatest good fortune and a time to celebrate. We will then be worthy of our sweet relationship with our beloved Sai.
Loving
Sairam and regards,
In
Sai Service
H2H Team

and, more importantly, what is it that will reverse this
process? These are questions that will assist us to come
