Tribute to Victor Kanu by dr. GOLDSTEIN

Always, since the beginning of time, the Lord has brought forth men and women who were born into certain places at certain times where and when there was a great need for the Light of His Love, the Enlightenment of His Wisdom, and the Succor of His Compassion.   Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, Our Beloved Swami, brought forth Victor Krishna Kanu to be such a light of His Love and Wisdom in Africa.

Our Dear Brother Victor did indeed uplift his African Brothers and Sisters.  However, as with all Divine Dramas, the power of Victor’s wisdom and goodness has inspired  all of us everywhere.  The ripples in the Divine pond of Love and Truth expand forever.

Our dearest Victor was an accomplished man.

He studied philosophy, politics, and economics at Oxford University in UK. He distinguished himself in the political affairs of his country.  He became his country’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom.  He became an educator and has been one of the forefathers of the Sri Sathya Sai Education in Human Values Movement currently flourishing in more than 90 countries worldwide.

Sometimes Victor was frustrated by organizational bureaucracy. However, quickly our beloved Victor became the victor over the vagaries of his own mind. He understood! He withstood! Compassion displaced frustration. Victor stood for the great Truth, the Eternal Love that our Beloved Swami has inspired in all of us.

I loved him dearly and sought his counsel often.  Always he brought light and love into the darkness of our delusion.  Victor was a spiritual victor in his human life and will, no doubt, be enshrined as such in the eternal life of our souls.

Our Beloved Swami  selected Victor to be such a light of love and beacon of wisdom for all of us. Our Victor was a victor over the hypocrisy, the selfishness, and the lovelessness that pollute our world. Let us remember him and embrace his legacy: His love and compassion, His gentle understanding, The firmness of his conviction between right and wrong.

Let us always remember Victor as a victor of good over evil and an exemplar of selfless love. Let us remember and conduct our own lives accordingly.
