A Colourful and Cosmic Connection with Swami There’s nobody that I don’t love because I love everyone, everything, even if people don’t like me, I love them. So, that’s alright. So, it’s just this kind of happy state, I’ve always been a bit like that.. |

A Colourful and Cosmic Connection with Swami Swami had never spoken to me. And I never spoke to anyone here. Nobody knew I was a singer. I’m not really the sociable type. I was just happy to be in His presence, albeit at the back. |

"Joy of Living" Christmas in Prasanthi Nilayam is always special. Yes, people of all faiths and cultures – be it Hindus or Muslims, Christians or Buddhists, or any faith for that matter - congregate in this 'Abode of Peace' and in unison sing the glories of the Lord. But that is only one aspect of this lovely occasion. |

The Spiritual Significance of 'Sermon on the Mount' mong the teachings of Jesus Christ, the Sermon on the Mount has been one of the most widely quoted elements of the Canonical Gospels. Probably because these eight seemingly simple statements contain in them the essence of what the Lord wanted every man to understand and implement in their lives. Commentaries on this collection of teachings which appear in the Gospel of Matthew are galore. |

A Colourful and Cosmic Connection with Swami I suddenly hear this - like a voice saying, “Go straight down now to the main street. Go now, NOW!” So, I rush down and as I’m going past the accommodation office, a man is coming out with my ticket and passport in his hand. And he’d found it. He tried to return it but because I wasn’t registered, they didn’t know who to give it to. |

Bewitched by His Love ( Part 3) Growing up with Swami, the one thing that I felt is that the best way you can serve Him is to follow His teachings. And His teachings are many. And now, all of us cannot follow all of them. So I chose to pick a couple of teachings and live them fully. Swami did tell us that you should always have a big heart. I feel you have to open your heart to people. So, the lessons that I’ve learned, is to try to help others as much as I can and not hurt. |
Bewitched by His Love ( Part 2) Whatever it was that Swami asked us to do, we quite implicitly obeyed Him; we didn’t question. Like the first time we came to Puttaparthi and He asked us to stay, we just stayed. It happened on another occasion too. |
Study Cricle - 06 Swami says that just as the love of a mother towards her children is Vatsalya, love between two individuals is Sakhyam, or love towards an object is Moha, the very same love when manifested towards God Himself is Bhakti or devotion. |
Musings on Gita - 02 Whatever I am dwelling upon, I shall generally focus on the main theme of the chapter concerned and try to explain how they all are connected to Mama Dharma; that is because Mama Dharma is the true Essence of the Gita; I am not making this up; that is what Swami has told us. Study Circle 6 (Part 1 & 2) Here I’m reminded of what Bhagawan says: “I separated Myself from Myself to love Myself.” Love is the cosmic glue that manifests during this great act of separation which ensures the ultimate union. Study Circle - 05, Part 02 Now, let us move to the second sub-theme which is about quality and quantity. Why We Are What We Are
“God you think, God you are; dust you think, dust you are” said Lord Jesus. The entire Universe according to Bhagawan Baba is reaction, reflection and resound. Swami gives us the example of the little boy who told his mother that there was someone hiding in the hills, who scolded him everyday. |
The Legacy of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba Baba had repeatedly told us “I am not this body, and you are not this body too”. He wanted us to realise the universal atma which He personified and of which each one of us is also a container. |
California Bal Vikas Children Ask Questions During the interaction session, the children asked many questions like “Why is there violence in the world today?”, “How to see the Atma in all?”, “How to feel Swami's Presence in the current times?” and so on. Since this session turned out to be pretty interesting and profound we now wish to make this available for all because the answers that Prof. Venkataraman offered may well help to clarify such doubts in the minds of many others – young and old – from all around the globe. |
