The Messenger and His Message Many years ago Bhagawan was sitting in the interview room with a devotee and conversing about the Supreme Truth. Anyone with a fair bit of spiritual knowledge will be aware that Truth is nothing but Oneness; there is no difference between Unity and Truth. So Bhagawan was talking to this devotee about how everything is one and there is no duality. |

Just a Doggie I whine. My tail is well between my legs. It has been raining continuously since late afternoon yesterday and there is something in the air that tells me that worse is to come. I hate rain and thunder and this one, my doggie instincts tell me, is going to be a whopper of a storm. But my owner says the weatherman is confident the hurricane will pass by without making a landfall. He has all these latest equipment and so many experts working with him. He must be right. |

But that would be a name nobody would know her by in her later years, thanks to her husband Brigadier Ranjit Rai Bahl. After marriage, moved by her indefatigable ability to shower love on all, he changed her name to 'Prem'. Little did he realise then, that her love was destined to attain fulfilment, assume supreme status and stand as an inspiration to thousands. |

The Story of Sai – 9 Subbamma would sometimes gather all the toddlers on her open terrace in the evening. She would mix the usual dishes of the evening meal and then lovingly feed morsels from the great mix to all of them including Sathya. Like many Indian mothers do when feeding their children to coax them to eat an extra mouthful, she would say, “This morsel is for the cow, this one for the crow, this one for...” |

Hari Naam Gaathe Chalo I have noticed two patterns in this bhajan. One is that it refers to a journey. The second is, it tells us what will give us the energy for this journey and consistently sticks to one theme which is ‘The name of the Lord’ - “Hari Naam Gaathe Chalo, Sai Naam Gaathe Chalo”. |

How Krishna Recreated Brindavan Sairam. It is always wonderful to recapitulate the moments that we spent with Bhagawan.
When we say ‘Brindavan’, we are instantly reminded of Lord Krishna. As we all know, Krishna was the playful Lord but at the same time He was the Jagadguru. Bhagawan too loved to sport in Brindavan!
Let me recapitulate a day in Brindavan during the period 1979-1984. |

Krishna's Radha Sheela put her brush down and looked at her painting. She had sketched the outline of a beautiful riverbank that had trees with drooping branches bent into the waters. The sand dunes on the banks reflected the heat of the setting sun. The Choicest Blessing of Choosing Him Over Everything - Dr U Suma Rao We were a family of four, happily residing in Mumbai in the 1980s when suddenly out of the blue we relocated to Puttaparthi. I say ‘out of the blue’ because my dad was working for a prestigious institution NITIE (National Institute of Industrial Engineering) and my sister and I were still schooling in Mumbai. We have often been asked what triggered such a sudden and drastic move. I think the thought had taken seed long ago and steadily gained shape over the years. But we had to wait for His call. |

It was the funeral of Mrs. Vidya Srinivasan, the wife of Mr. V. She was past 75 and her husband was nearly an octogenarian. But that did not stop him from warmly expressing his gratitude to all who had come for the funeral. He shook hands with Prakash and personally ensured that he was comfortable. |

I presume you wish to know Swami’s explanation and of course the general differentiation from the spiritual point of view between Yoga and physical exercise; because, anything that is traditionally a part of Indian heritage cannot be spoken of without making references to the spiritual perspective. Indian cultural heritage and spirituality are inseparable. I should probably give you an alert that in my answer I will be speaking more about Yoga than regular exercise, but will try and contrast the two as and when possible in the course of the answer. |

Buddha's Lesson On Wasting Disciple: “My robe is worn out. It is no longer decent enough to wear. Please may I have a new one?” Buddha looked at the disciple's attire and found that the garment was absolutely in tatters and really needed replacement. So he asked the store-keeper to give a new robe to this disciple. The disciple offered obeisance to the great master and left the room. Buddha kept thinking about the incident and felt that He had perhaps missed an opportunity to teach a valuable lesson to the disciple. So he went to the disciple's quarters to talk to him. |

Sai Sets Us Free - Six years have passed since my beloved Lord, Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, moved on from the form to the formless on April 24, 2011. The moment in time, when I came to know that He had left us, was easily the most painful moment in my life.
