to my guru, with love...
- A special initiative for Guru Poornima 2014
Elka Mora
Florida, USA
(My gratitude to my dear daughter for help with translation from Spanish to English) No word can really express what the heart feels when Baba enters to transform and enlighten the life of anyone, but at least expressing gratitude to Whom is beyond words in this form, is an action that is worthy. With this poem I try to describe an experience that happened to me years ago, a vision of a place I've never seen before, where Swami was surrounded by many people, talking and teaching them. With time, I learned that the place really exists (Brindavan) and was a point of reunion for devotees, where He used to give darshan. At that time, I was unable to travel. However, that was the beginning of a soul journey, from a heart with an unstable faith to complete surrender. Thank you Swami! You are always with us!
Fortunate Trees
for me unknown and peaceful place full of trees I see your Radiant form in white garments by many surrounded.
some may call it vision whatever the name I assure Your smile like thousands of stars enlighten my soul and the dark sorrows that chase me flee like afraid beasts.
inside my realms Like a mother, patiently teaching, guiding.
remains so clear to me as the most vivid Reality.
on a metal bird to see you, in bone and flesh but my soul flew to you and your universe-holding Eyes look at mine restoring my inner self.
but Your Voice sweet and magnificent resounds in my mind.
Sai Jaganath! How fortunate those that daily serve you that follow your path they truly earn the sky on earth. than your holy face than your blessed feet than space or time than life or death. be it in the next I plea never lose your trail. rebirth is my fate and a human form can't achieve let me serve You, let me be, like one of those fortunate trees! |
