A SECOND ANECDOTE
In
the late sixties of the last century, many volunteers were
involved with the construction of Swami’s College in
Anantapur. It was hard and non-stop work for over eight hours
a day. The volunteers were mainly office workers and not used
to strenuous manual labour; yet they willingly did it as an
offering to Swami. One day, Swami visited Anantapur to inspect
progress. He was very pleased with what He saw, and then asked
all the volunteers to assemble before Him. He then said, “All
of you raise your hands.” The volunteers were puzzled
by the command but obeyed. Some raised both their hands while
others raised only one hand. Swami then asked every one to
raise both their hands. Everyone did.
