Types of people who hate God
Puttaparthi, Sai Kulwanth Hall (Birthday )
Description
There are four types of people who turn against God. The first category are those who don't have faith in God. The second category are those out of jeaulosy who cannot bear to see others progressing. Third category are the ones whose desires are not fulfilled and so they turn against God. There are people who are envious watching the progress and reputation of others. These are the four categories that are against God. This path is so mean so dirty, so low. They desire, Swami do this for me. I want this much money. I am starting this society, I am starting a school. I need money now. I speak only truth. I say, you have got your own nation, you should abide by the rules of the country. How can you take this money from here. Not possible. And you have to betray or cheat the Government. I will not agree. Bhagavan will say no to such things. Then they develop hatred towards Swami, and they go on denying and insulting divinity. Whatever people do I stand by truth. Bhagavan holds on to his truth. Dont be carried away by praise or blame. Because your faith is your own. Your faith depends on your own confidence and it cannot be gifted by anybody. Your faith is your own. The theist say God exists some may deny him. In fact if you have faith in God, God exists for you. If you deny God, he does not exist for you. Yes and no belong to the tongue and mouth, but for God it is always yes, yes, yes. You go by your mind.

God is very soft, even to melt the butter one needs to use fire: Beautiful Analogy
00:02:54God too is very soft; soft and sweet. But if one wants to experience God, one must expose oneself to fire of wisdom. It is only when the butter is exposed to heat that the soft butter melts. This was taken as an ideal by the Vanaprastha of yester years. One day the wife put three rocks together and put a vessel filled with rice and water to cook on the three rocks. She then lit the fire. The husband, who was incessantly immersed in the thought of Brahman, took this scenario as the one depicting the principle of Brahman. The three rocks were likened to the three gunas, qualities namely the ‘Sathwa’, ‘Rajas’ and ‘Tamo’. The vessel was likened to the body. The water in the vessel represented the water of ‘love’. The rice in the pot represented one’s desires. The fire, below the vessel is likened to the fire of ‘Wisdom’. Is the fire touching the rice directly? Why is the fire placed below? It is to cook the rice. But the fire does not reach the rice directly. The fire heats the vessel first. Then the water gets heated next. It is the hot water that heats the rice. Therefore, first and foremost the body must be exposed to the ‘heat’. The word ‘near’ is used in this context. Then next is love. The ‘water of love’ in the vessel receives the heat from the vessel. The rice of ‘desires’ gets cooked, once the water gets heated. Hence, first the body must be ‘near’, the mind is ‘dear’; when these two are together the desires disappear. The husband realised the teaching of Vedanta. How simple it is!!

Always contemplate on God: Practical examples
00:03:58Be in constant communion with God in all the three states: waking, dream, and deep sleep (jagrat, swapna, and sushupti). You may be wondering how it is possible to cook food, do household work, or discharge your duties as a householder if you think of God all the time. Students may wonder how they can study, remember the lessons, and pass the examinations if they think of God always. There should be no room for such a doubt. Consider all the work you do as God’s work. When you cook food, the quantity should be proportional to the volume of the vessel used for cooking; also, suitable heat should be provided for cooking. If you have a small vessel, you should put only half a kilogram of rice in it. Then the cooking will be proper. If you put two kilograms of rice in a small vessel, you will not be able to cook. Not only that, you should supply only as much heat as necessary while cooking food. If you put a small vessel on a big flame, the vessel will get charred. When the food is getting cooked, gradually reduce the flame. In the same manner, you should enquire what is temporary and what is permanent in every aspect of your life. Once you cross a river, you don’t need the raft any more. In the same way, when the food is cooked, you don’t need the flame any more. So far as you are hungry, you require food. When your hunger is satiated, you don’t require any more food. But this does not mean that you should waste or destroy something after fulfilling a need. Just like burning the raft after crossing the river, One forgets God after one’s desires are fulfilled. Such is the ingratitude of modern humanity. The raft that has helped you cross the river should be kept at a safe place so that others can make use of it. In this manner, you should always do good to others. What is the use of burning the raft after crossing the river? It serves no purpose. After experiencing the bliss of contemplation on God, remain constantly immersed in it. Whatever you do —reading, writing, walking, talking, etc.— do it with divine feelings. Do not indulge in unnecessary talking, which is useless, useless, useless! Instead why don’t you talk about God? Don’t give scope to any useless talk. It is correct to spend your time in studies. Use your leisure time to do good deeds. That is true awareness. What does awareness signify? Awareness is chit, which means knowledge.

Everything is God in this creation
00:01:50One may say that God has no form but He has a name. ‘God’ itself is a name! ‘Rama’, Krishna’ or ‘Govinda’ are not the only names that God can have; when one says ‘Lord’ that itself is a name. One may say that God is nameless and formless but one cannot find anything that is nameless and formless in this world! When even an atom has a name and a form, then how can gigantic things exist without name and form? Therefore, every object has a name and a form and a power therein. Hence, Bharatiyas worship every stone and every tree; even a poisonous snake and also ‘Garuda’ the eagle. Everything in this world deserves to be worshipped. That is the reason why many pay their respects to the earth on which they stand. Mother earth is present everywhere. There is no place where earth is not present.

All actions of the avatar lead you inward
00:04:20The whole world is the combination of the name and the form. Possessiveness and attachment are the features of the world. Krishna was in His original form at one time. Then and now people criticize the divine actions and the divine miracles of the Lord. Is there any scope for anyone to criticize Krishna who was aged six at that time? It is just the reflection of their inner emotions and feelings. The husband was sleeping inside. Wife too was inside. Krishna knocked the door and she was abashed. She waited for sometime before answering the knock. Now Krishna wasn’t the one to relent so he kept thumping the door. Through a small opening in the door, she started speaking with Krishna, “Why do you rush me to open the door, Krishna? Please wait for some time. My husband isn’t asleep yet, and may start to doubt me. Krishna, please wait till I open the door.” But yet Krishna went on thumping the door. This awoke the husband who opened the door and saw the little Krishna but he didn’t get angry on seeing him. He carried him inside. Seeing this, the wife’s joy knew no bounds! She thought that it was because of the singing of the glory of Krishna that her husband too came to love Krishna. Hence, although the actions of Krishna seem to be worldly they actually show us the inner path. It starts from outside and ultimately reaches the inner most self.

Jeevatma and Paramatma are one and the same
00:01:00Where can one find compassion? Compassion is in one’s heart. A heart filled with compassion can be called a heart in true sense. Dehamane jeeviyandu hrudayamane devudunde! Rendu koodi atalaadi okarinokaru veedu chunde, Aatalaadinche sootradhari okadu kaladu! Ee rendu koodi aatalaadi okarinokaru cheripoye!! In the entity called ‘body’, there resides God in the form of ‘heart’! Having played together for some time, they go separate ways, There is a director for this puppet show!! Playing together, ultimately they merge in one another!! Ultimately the two merge in each other. The principles of ‘jeevatma’, soul and ‘paramatma’ super soul, are not different. This is also put as “Jeevude devudu; Devude jeevudu”, the individual is God and God is the individual. One is the object and the other is its reflection; one is action and the other is the reaction; one is sound and the other is the resound. So everything is action – reaction, sound- resound. The jeevatma and the paramatma exist with this principle .

God's love alone is selfless: With analogies
00:02:00When one enquires about what is it that is selfless in this world, one finds that God alone is selfless. Father, mother, wife, children have some amount of selfishness but it is God alone who has no trace of selfishness. When one analyses the deeds of God, they may appear to be selfish. The Lord protected Prahlada and killed Hiranyakasipa; He protected Vibhishana and killed Ravana; He punished Kamsa- considering these entire acts, it may appear that these acts have a selfish motive. God is not the cause either for protection or for punishment. This is the misunderstanding of human beings. The good and the bad are the result of one’s nature. One’s goodness protects one and it is one’s own bad nature that punishes. Devudanaga veru deshamanduna ledu, devudanaga galadu dehamande, Papamanaga veru paradeshamanduna ledu, taanu cheyu panulatagiliyundu!! God is not there in any external place, He is there in one’s own self! Sin is not there in any other place, It lies in one’s own actions!! Therefore the punishment or protection is not done by god. God is merely a witness to these acts but not the cause. Due to the lack of preaching of this truth in the world, the common man is misguided.

Our focus must be on God constantly like Nandi (the bull)
00:01:26Human life must be properly moulded into divinity by nurturing good qualities. How can this be done? There is Nandi, the bull in front of Lord Shiva. Nandi is an animal. Where and whom does it look? It steadily looks at God; it does not look at the nature. It concentrates it focus entirely on God. Hence people worship Nandi too. How did it deserve such adoration and worship? It is because its vision is fixed on the Lord. Therefore it gets worshipped even though it is an animal. Hence, one must have good, sacred vision, which is “Sudarshanamu”, good vision. To have the sanctified and good vision one must contemplate on God, chant His name and concentrate on Him.

You are God; Search within
00:03:41Many say that they search for God. Where to search for God who is everywhere? Why to search for Him? Do you search for yourself? If you do, you are considered to be a mad fellow. God is with you, beside you, before you and behind you and He is all around. You yourself are God. You say ‘I am so and so’ based on your physical body. But that is not correct. The great sages mentioned in the scriptures that the most important question before mankind is “WHO AM I”. There are various things in this world that are to be known. Ignoring all such , what is the meaning in saying’ know who you are’! If someone comes to us we ask them ‘who are you’ where from do you come?’ Are you asking yourself this question? No. If you question yourself then you will know easily who others are. Therefore Self- realization is important. Self- confidence, Self-satisfaction and Self-sacrifice are the supporting steps for Self-realization. Self- confidence is the foundation, self- satisfaction is wall and self-sacrifice is the roof. The self-realization is life itself. No wall can be constructed without a good foundation and without a wall no roof can be laid. We cannot live without a roof over us. Self-confidence, the foundation should be very strong. Develop a strong faith. Then you will be very happy. Once you attain this happiness you will sacrifice everything. There is no difference of mine and yours in happiness. If you go to that stage you can sacrifice everything. ‘na karmanaa, naprajayaa, dhanena, Tyagenaike Amrutatvamanushuhu’ is the Vedic dictum. Sacrifice gets you every happiness.

Desire for God, rest will come to you
00:03:12Faith is very important. Devotion and Faith are to be realized properly. Devotion is Love for God and faith is trust in God. We should have trust in His Love. In these days we do not have faith in our own love. How can we get Love of God? Your love is worldly. God’s Love is beyond this. It is pure and limitless. To attain such Love you should go on decreasing your worldly love. For students, prayers become abundant as examinations approach. These are for getting good results in the examinations. This amounts to begging. This is not correct. You are not a “Beggar”. You are to be “Bigger”. Devotees should realize this. If you desire only God without asking for other desires, He gives everything. As one cannot reach that stage, it is inevitable to ask for a few things in the initial stages. There is a saying that even mother does not give without being asked for. This is true in the case of physical mothers. It is natural to ask her and take from her. You enjoy what you take from her. But in the case of Divine Mother there is no question of asking but it is only enjoying and experiencing. Whatever is given you take. Do not have any discrimination whether it is good or bad. In your opinion it may look as bad but the result may be good. Doctor gives quinine mixture for a patient suffering from malaria. This tastes bitter. But its effect is good. It cures the decease. In the initial stages devotion and its practice may appear to be difficult. But we should not be afraid of it. We should not leave it off.

God always knows what is best for you
00:03:34“Oh mind! Do not ask. Do not ask. As you go on asking it keeps getting delayed. If you don’t ask it will be done faster Didn’t Sri Rama fulfill the desire of Sabari (an old aged devotee) without being asked? Even without being asked did Rama not go to Jatayu and liberate him from this life! Did Sabari ask? Did Jatayu desire? If our heart calls Him with pure Love He Himself comes running to us. We need not explicitly ask. This is the proof for God’s Love. This is the value of God’s Love. By forgetting this nature of God and following the worldly materialistic way we do not get peace. Asking and praying for are of worldly nature. These are called Pravritti dharmas (attached to the worldly things) in philosophical terms. True sacred love is Nivritti dharma (disassociated from worldly path) When we take to Nivritti dharma pravritti dharma would disappear. No one knows the amount of treasure in God’s treasury. If you pray for a piece of glass, He may give you a diamond. What does He want to give, how can you know? You ask for a very small thing. He wished to give a greater one. So we should leave it to Him. Then He will give what He wishes to give. You do not know what is good for you or what is necessary for you. God knows what is best for you. He will give. It is His wish when and how He gives you. So surrender yourself to Him and have a firm belief and faith in Him. Treat whatever comes in life as His will. Then He Himself gives what you deserve. Because human beings do not have that faith, they are losing many wishes of God. Faith is very important.

When you dont give space for God to enter, how do you expect him to reside in your heart: With an analogy
00:02:42Although people say that God resides in one’s heart, they seldom make effort to make their hearts inhabitable for God. Then how can God reside in the heart? People clean their houses properly prior to the arrival of invited guests. The house is kept clean and tidy in accordance with the status of the guest invited. When an officer is visiting a village or town, people go out of their way to make sure that all the arrangements are properly done in a befitting manner. When an ordinary person is visiting the house or an officer is visiting the village, people make many befitting arrangements to welcome the guest. When such is the case with ordinary guests, what arrangements and cleansing is necessary when God himself comes to reside in one’s heart?!! It amounts to mere innocence to invite God into a heart full of evil traits. This type of innocence is related to beasts and animals. It is not proper for man, who is endowed with wisdom to realise the divinity, to lead life in such negligence.

Difficulties would make us grow in life: With explanations from various avatars life
00:04:26Life is sacred, invaluable and is worth living. Man must perform actions in order to develop such firm faith and conviction. Practising, what one believes in, develops one’s faith. Man’s life is a conglomeration of the pairs of opposites like: adversity and pleasure, poverty and wealth, praise and calumny, profit and loss. Through good one can triumph over bad. Adversities strengthen one’s patience. Many great persons endured many hardships for the prosperity of the country. Without effort there can be no gain. Without troubles there can be no pleasure. Hence in order to experience true pleasure one is subjected to troubles. There are many instances in the sacred history of Bharat, the Ramayana and Mahabharat which illustrate this point. Lord Rama, in order to rule over his people, in order to tread the path of truth and uphold righteousness, had to face many difficulties. But at no point did Rama feel it was a difficulty. He thought that the troubles were the royal path to joy and pleasure. He considered troubles as the sacred fire ritual, “Yagna”, for the welfare of people. He deemed the troubles as the suitable Sadhana to express the divinity in man. In Mahabharata too, the Pandavas faced many troubles and hardships but came out victorious in the end. In Bible, He offered himself to be crucified so as to bring succour to people around and serve the society around Him. Rama and Krishna, born into good race, had to suffer and fight the evil. On the other hand Prahlada, born into evil surroundings, came out triumphant over evil. Even the sacred souls having the noblest of intentions and being an ideal to others had to undergo sufferings.

Divine power is all powerful
00:00:50It is very essential to have the support of powerful force that is beyond the purview of the materialistic products available in the world, for the sustenance of humanity. That’s why Vedas emphasized that the Divine power is all powerful than any of the material(s) strength. We should, therefore, put in sincere efforts to harness and benefit from such a Divine power.

How to tune yourself to God
00:05:18The entire world is full of electric power. There are unchanging electric waves at a certain level. The science students know this. This electricity is transformed into electric waves. It is said that long ago Lord Krishna gave darshan to many Gopikas in their houses at the same time. People call it a trick when it is said that a single person was present in multiple places at the same time. This amounts to total ignorance and the person calling it a trick is deemed a fool. When the Prime Minister’s speech is broadcast in Delhi, it can be heard all around the world in radios and can be seen in televisions. How can one believe when the same person appears on television in so many places and the voice is heard without any disturbances? When a mere machine can have such capacity, can’t a mantra have the same? The name and the form are all pervading. Even after the disappearance of the physical body, the sounds persist in the environment. Ghantasala was a great and melodious singer. He died fifteen years ago but still one can listen to his voice and songs in radio. How is this possible? The sound of his voice has embedded itself in the electric waves. Whether the scientists proclaim it or not the fact is that there is electricity all around. When one can believe the power of the machines like the radio, why does one hesitate to believe that Lord Krishna gave darshan to each Gopika in her place at the same time? When Swami was in Hyderabad, the devotees from Madras, Delhi and Bombay wrote to say that they saw Swami at their places in television. But when Swami was in Hyderabad, how could they see Him in their places in television? What is the reason behind this? This is the power of the machines. The power of mantra is greater than the power of ‘Yantra’, the machine. Similarly when one has the radio of the divine thoughts, Krishna in Mathura can be seen in Repalle or in Hasthinapura. One can listen to the news broadcast by Delhi radio station by properly tuning into that frequency. If one’s tuning is not proper instead of news one can only hear the nuisance of disturbances. Likewise proper tuning is the ‘concentration’; one’s ‘heart’ is the radio and the correct news is the manifestation of the divine, ‘sakshatkara’. When one says, “Swami, I sit but am unable to steady the mind and concentrate.” it means that one has not tuned in properly. When one properly tunes the thoughts in one’s heart, then one gets the correct news. But what is the use if, being in the holy shrine one can only concentrate on the slippers left outside? Hence one should fix one’s mind and intellect on the same thing. What is the meaning of study”? ‘Study’ is meant to ‘steady’. One must be steady without wavering. A wavering student fails the exams. Man’s law of nature is to be ‘steady’.
-
Do everything with a Divine approach
00:02:29Where is ‘brahma’? Brahma is all pervasive; omnipresent. That is also called as ‘chaitanya’ or the life force which is found in every human being. Man must make an effort to recognise the life force, ‘chaitanyamu’ which is latent in every being. One must question oneself as to what, among the body, the mind, the senses and the intellect, is important in human life. When one concludes that all are important saying, ‘it is my body’ etc, then who is this ‘my’ to whom those belong? The body, the mind, the intellect etc are all but instruments. With respect to all these instruments one addresses them as ‘my body’, ‘my mind’, ‘my senses’; although the instruments differ, the ‘my’ is constant in all. This ‘my’ is the master who is the ‘Atma’. Therefore one needs to use the instruments to attain the self. Hence it is said that, one needs to enjoy the nature with a divine outlook. One must do every work with a divine approach. In order to teach the world such sacred truths, various pious people like sages, avatars have descended on earth.

Singing Pleases the Lord
00:02:10“Ninu kanugonagalara, Krishna?!! Anuvukante athi sookshmaroopudavu, Ghanamukante athi ghananeeyudavu Iruvadinaalugu laksha jeevamulu Baayakunduvata Anuvurenuvu kashtambu modaluga Akhanda roopudvai veluyuduvata Ninu kanugonagalara, Krishna?!! Anthe kaadu, Ghanamagu dongalalo gaja dongavu, ninu kanugona galara?!! O Krishna!! Is it possible to know You?!! You are the smallest of the small and the biggest of the big!! You who will not forsake even one out of the twenty four lakh beings, You who are all the forms from the minutest to the greatest! You who shines forth in all and every being, O Krishna is it possible to know you?!! Not only that, O Krishna! You are the biggest thief among the thieves!! Is it possible to know You??!! All thieves steal the wealth and material possessions of people. But this bandit steals the heart!! Hence, one only feels joy in addressing the Lord as the stealer of hearts and not anger. But a person gets angry when others call him a thief. People sway in ecstasy when they sing songs with love on Lord addressing Him as the robber of one’s heart. So while robbing one’s heart too, Lord only gives ananda, bliss. The vitha chora, the robbers of material possessions only cause grief whereas the chitta chora brings joy and happiness. Worldly people are Vitha Chora, the stealers of money and possessions whereas the Lord is the Chitta Chora, the thief who steals one’s heart!!

God is merely a witness to every action
00:01:53One’s own good and bad deeds are the primal cause for joy and sorrow and for any happiness in this world. Recognising this fact, one must indulge oneself in good deeds, develop good thoughts and lead a good life. The effects of one’s actions are borne by oneself and not by others. One alone experiences the taste and belch of what one has eaten and not by others. If a person has eaten a mango, he alone gets the belch of mango and not others. Can a person after eating a mango get the belch which gives a taste of cucumber? No it is not possible. One is solely responsible for one’s joys and sorrows. Even God is not responsible for He is just an eternal witness. All the bad deeds and sins of man will vanish like dew in sunlight, when one repents the bad actions whole heartedly and surrenders to God.

Recipients of God's grace are always happy
00:01:00One must strive to be happy always. Having been in the company of God, one must imbibe the divine qualities and experience the same. Where is happiness? Happiness is union with God! Becoming one with the Lord, bestows happiness to man. The faces of men, who do not think about the Lord, are ridden with artificial laughs like in cinemas and have castor oil faces!! The faces of men who are the recipients of the grace of the Lord shine forth with brilliance and an ever present smile. Their faces have a divine brilliance. That is the true sign of the divinity!! The divine look, the spark, has fallen on those faces, hence they shine.
-
You are God; Have faith in yourself
00:00:57Swami has told many times: Man is God. God does not exist separately. One’s inner voice teaches one continuously- “So......ham”, I am God. The inner voice teaches that one is God repeatedly. But one disregards it. Man follows others but does not believe one self. One who does not believe in himself how can he believe others?? Therefore one must develop first self confidence. Out of self confidence, one must develop self sacrifice. That will lead to self realisation. Therefore, one must first and foremost have faith and belief in oneself. God resides within oneself.
-
One can achieve anything with Divine strength
00:00:12With divine strength man can accomplish anything. There is nothing which cannot be accomplished with divine strength.
-
What do you mean by God: With beautiful Analogies
00:02:29What is God? God is matter + energy. Presence of both matter and the energy results in the divine power. The mike as well as the spoken word is essential. A small example to illustrate this: Eyes see. True it’s the eyes that see. But without the sunlight the eyes cannot see. Therefore the eyes recognise an object or a person based on the sunlight. Many think that the eyes are basis for vision, for without eyes what is the use of the light? What is the use of light without the eyes? There are many blind people in this world. The blind cannot see the sun’s brightness and brilliance. Is it not foolishness on part of the blind man to deny the existence of the sun just because the he cannot see it? A blind man may not see the sun but people with eyes have seen the sun. However great a scholar one may be, still one cannot see anything while asleep. The person may have great scholarship; in spite of it he is unable to see the world while asleep. Without any scholarship or wisdom even a foolish person is able to see the world while awake. Hence one does not require scholarship or wisdom to see the world. Therefore, the wisdom eye in one should open then alone can one distinguish between the good and the bad. Divinity is contained in all human beings and in all the limbs of the body and so it is said, “Rasovai saha!”

You are verily God, realise it: With analogies
00:03:33“Ekam sat viprah bahuda vadanti”- there is only one God and it is ‘Atma’, ‘aham’. That ‘aham’ is reflected in every being. Therefore every form and every individual is worthy of worship. A small example: When a person is asked, “Where is God?” he would reply, “He is in my heart.” When one says God resides in one’s heart then where does God exist? And who is God? The kerchief is held in Swami’s hand. Swami’s hand is big and the kerchief is small. When one says “God is in me”, it implies that man is big and God is small. Therefore God is not in man but man himself is God! Everything is in man but God is not in man. The entire creation is picturised in the heart of man. Hence, “Daiwam maanusha roopena” God takes the form of man. Lord appears in human form. The pictures of Lord Rama or Lord Krishna are portrayed as human forms. The human forms are only seen. Forgetting the divine latent in human form, man is aspiring and searching for the divine in other forms. That is the reason why man is unable to fathom the truth. Truth is one- ‘Ekam sath’. This is called as ‘rutham” in Vedas. Rutham means the oneness, that which does not change in any circumstance or place or time. Such changeless truth is one and is in every one. Atma is one. Man divides it based on forms, imagines it be divinity and worships it.

Who are these three crore deities: Significance behind it
00:02:51The ancients worshipped God by remembering Him, thinking and believing that He exists everywhere. God assumes the form of three crore beings. He adorns the form of celestial beings. Who are these three crore celestial beings? Do they exist? No, in those days the world had only three crores of beings. Prior to that it was said, “Sahasra seersha Purusha”, God has thousand heads. It means that in those days the world was populated with only a few thousand beings. Later the population rose up to three crores. Today the population is five hundred and eighty crores. Who are they? All the heads are the heads of the God. One must not consider man as mortal. Every birth is the advent of God. Why does man waste life which is essentially divine? Hence every individual and every being is divine. One should not think that God exists separately. “Ekam sat viprah bahuda vadanti”- there is only one God and it is ‘Atma’, ‘aham’. That ‘aham’ is reflected in every being. Therefore, every form and every individual is worthy of worship.

Everything in this creation is a spark of the Divine
00:00:59In Bhagavad Gita it is stated that, “Mamaivamsho, jeevaloke, jeeva bhootas sanatanaha!” Every particle, every human being and every being is my manifestation. All creation is my manifestation. As every being is a spark of the divine, it implies that man too is the manifestation of the divine. Calling man as temporary and transient is not appropriate as he is the manifestation of the divine.

Only God is our true friend
00:03:59The less one talks the more one serves. Through service one can develop friendship. What is meant by friendship? Friendship is not merely greeting each other. It is a kind of preparedness to work unitedly under all situations and in all fields. This kind of friendship is not present anywhere in the world. Who is a good friend in this world? God is the only good friend in the world. Whether it is the father, the mother, the wife, the husband, the son- or anybody else- have a trace of selfishness and self interest in their love for others. It is only God who loves without any trace of selfishness or self interest. God does not expect anything in return. He does not receive anything from others. He only gives and gives and does not take. Therefore, to attain such divinity one must develop the right methods, right conduct and right qualities. “Where is God?” when one inquires so, there is a wide scope to understand one’s own self regarding the presence of divinity. A friend may state his place of stay as a particular room or a particular numbered house in such and such locality or in a hotel etc. But who is the one who stays in that hotel or room? It is only the body that stays in the given address. Is he the body? No! Therefore where does he stay? He lives in his own heart. This heart is called love. Hence every man lives in love; is sustained by love; carries out the daily activities as prompted by love. Man fulfills his life from dawn to dusk by spending his time in love. So where is the residence of man? It is in love. When man realises his true address, that is love, man through his right conduct, through good qualities will make an ideal human being.

God's grace never forsakes you
00:00:26So the recipient of God's grace will never have any problems, he will never suffer. He will never make any mistakes. Because he has surrendered to God. He has considered God as his very life and hence God becomes one with him. So direct your mind towards God.

All fine arts are God's gifts
00:00:25Music, literature, dance all these talents are bestowed by Divine grace. They are all God's gifts. All fine arts are God's gifts. Not that you have learnt everything. Everything is because of God's grace.
-
Never doubt Divine
00:00:21No one should have any doubts on God. If you have doubts, you cannot achieve anything. You should have total faith, total love, and you will be successful in your life.

Man is verily God
00:00:58In fact human being, though he is a human in form, in reality he is divine. God is present like the sugar in the syrup. Human being is the juice and sugar is the heart. Without this he cannot be called a human being. That’s why every individual is Divine. Don't look for differences. Consider everyone as Divine. Sarvam Khaluvidam Brahma. God manifests everywhere. Ishwara Sarvabhootanam. God is present in everyone. God is all pervasive. God is present everywhere. How do you experience it? Develop love within you.

You are God. Know it
00:02:30Right from birth we learn everything. Why do we learn? Today in the world neither a seeker nor an aspirant does anything for the sake of God. Meditation, penance, sacred rituals are all done for selfish motives!! One does these for oneselves. No one does for God. Those who do for God become God! “Brahmavid brahmaiva bhavathi! The knower of Brahman becomes Brahma!!” One says one meditates for an hour; for whose sake does one does it? It is for oneself. One says one is doing Japa, for whose sake does one does it? It is for oneself. One worships for one’s sake alone. It is very wrong to say that one is doing for God when one does all for selfish motives. When man feels that he is doing for himself, then he must consider himself as God. When one repeats to oneself, ‘I am not man, I am God’ again and again, that becomes true meditation!! One must consider oneself as divine. This is the teaching of Guru. One who considers oneself as God, is in reality, the God!! Do not consider oneself as human being. If one thinks that one is a man, it is but half truth. Thinking, “I am man, I am man” and “I am not animal, I am not animal” is only half truth. Thinking, ‘I am man, I am not an animal” is full truth!! Then man becomes God!! God manifests in human forms. So man should consider that he is God and is Divine.

Spend at least a minute to experience God
00:01:43We struggle for wealth, prosperity, name and fame. We make all efforts for friends and relations. We work for name and fame. No! Of all this strain and strain , if you just concentrate a moment on God all things get sorted. Instead of spending hours and hours on worldly thing, you are not making an effort to even think of God for a moment. When you think of God the most difficult gates get opened for you. That is the door of human heart. Love is the key to open the door of heart. We have to safeguard and keep in custody the wealth of love. Without love you cannot accomplish anything. Everything will be achieved through love only. Direct this love towards God!
-
Surrender all your activities to God
00:00:32We can do worldly activities, whatever we might do we should offer all our actions to please God. You do your job, study, occupy exalted positions, receive them all as gifts of God. Then you can really enjoy and experience the true human life.

God stands for Generation, Organisation and Destruction
00:06:39The whole cosmos functions on the basis of three types of activity. These are what we experience in our daily life. One is the act of creation. The second is sustenance of creation. The third is the dissolution of what is created. Creation, sustenance and dissolution are all happenings of everyday experience. We witness them everyday. All of them testify to the existence of the Divine who is the embodiment of Truth. Without realising basic truth, people are engaged in controversies about the whereabouts of God. It is easy to raise questions about God. But it is difficult to make the search for God. Why? God is the truth of all truths. He is present as truth even in untruth. He is bad in badness and good in goodness. He is the merit in the meritorious and the sin in the sinful. It is in this context that the Gita declares that the Lord is present as the essence (rasa) in all things. God is the sweet essence in the syrup. There can be no syrup without sugar. Likewise God is immanent in all objects. He is like butter in milk, fragrance in a flower, the good element in every object. This is the significance of the scriptural dictum: "Rasovai Sah" (He is the essence of everything). God is immanent in everything in the cosmos like sugar in syrup. This is not visible to the eye. It has to be experienced. Creation, sustenance, and dissolution go on according to the predetermined laws. The Vedas have described the master of these three activities as God. It is reaffirmed by the Upanishads. The Quaran, the Bible, the Granth Saheb (of the Sikhs) —all these have described how the presence of God can be inferred from various indications. There is nothing in the cosmos that is not subject to these three processes. None can deny this truth. A philosopher or a scientist, an engineer or a doctor, or anyone else has to accept this fact. The master of this process is called God. What does GOD signify? G stands for generation (or creation). O stands for organization:(sustaining the creation). D stands for destruction (or dissolution). All these three aspects can be noticed when we examine any object. All three processes take place according to the will of the Divine. The entire cosmos is encompassed by these three processes. How is one to realise this truth? All impulses of man arise from the heart. When the heart is kept pure, all our thoughts, words, and actions become sweet. When the heart is dedicated to right purposes, all our actions become righteous and our life gets redeemed. All that is good or bad in us emanates from the heart.

God is beyond free fill
00:01:45Do not worry about the past. When time comes, it merges with the present. Wait for the time. Don’t waste time. Time waste is life waste. We form so many relationships and associations. They do not happen because of somebody’s advice. Only divinity makes it happen; none else can do it. People talk of free will. What does it mean? Who has the free will? No one has! If I want to do some job, people around will say it is your free will. There will, however, be some doubts whether the job will be done or not! Where such doubts do not crop up, then only it is free will, and it is divinity. Free will is divine power and nothing else. Therefore, no one else has free will. One may be president or any authority but they have no free will. They have to follow some regulations to do their job. It is only God who has no such regulations. HE can do anything. That is free will. That is true energy/power. It is the Divine Power!

Without God, we are Zero
00:02:33Embodiments of Love! All are messengers of God, all are embodiments of love. There is no man without love. You are misusing this love. Love is being diverted to worldly relationships. You are wasting your time with family attachments, in the name of your son, father, daughter, and so on. Do your duty sincerely, but don't think that that is your main concern. There is only one important one, that is God alone! He said "One is here, the world is zero. Put zero on one side of the one, it becomes ten. The moon is a circle, zero, that becomes a hundred, the sun is a zero, it becomes a thousand. If you go on adding zeros, it comes to millions. When do you attach value? The value is because of the one, the hero. Because of the one, the hero, the zero has value. If you remove this one, the hero, everything is zero. Hero becomes zero if he forgets God. If you forget God, even if you have money, you become zero. These are all only scenes in a movie. It is not possible to experience them. Have total faith in the hero, God. Never doubt at any time. Be without doubts and you are bound to be successful. All problems get solved and you will be happy in every possible way. Jesus experienced this truth. With strong faith in his path of truth, he propagated it to the world.
-
God's love is true wealth
00:02:30If money is lost, you can get it back. If the health is lost, you can regain it. But when character is lost, everything is lost. Man today is unmindful of these words and struggles hard for money and happiness. What is this wealth? True wealth is the wealth of the divine. Divine love is the true wealth. The divine truth real wealth, the divine wealth is the true wealth. Yes, that is the true wealth, property. We have lost the true divine wealth and are working for transient worldly wealth. With strong determination, if you work hard, struggle for this truth, certainly the rest will follow. No one is prepared for this today, then how do you expect God to confer grace and protect you? It is not possible, it is impossible. So we should be ready to sacrifice at every point of time. We are ready for happiness but we don't want misery. We are ready to eat, but we are not prepared to work. This is not the sign of devotion. The divine message must be propagated in public and society. The highest message is this love. Share this love with everybody, everywhere. There is no higher wealth than love. Love is God. We should not give up this principle of love at any point.
-
Experience Divine love
00:02:00Poor feeding and distribution of clothes are also necessary, but they are not that important. They are only temporary tasks. Yes, we need to do them. Along with them, we should see that the principle of love is increased among people. Right from dawn to dusk all our deeds should be full of love. Start the day with love, fill the day with love, spend the day with love, end the day with love, this is the way to God. Fill your heart with love in the first instance. With this love you should do everything. Dawn to dusk, experience this love. This is the true message. In this world there are very few noble souls who pass on this message. It is not enough if we have the title "messengers". The divine message must be published far and wide. They may listen to you or not, but you should publicize, propagate the divine message. Those who are fortunate may listen to you, the unfortunate may not. Don't bother whether they listen to you or not. Do your duty. Take it as your duty.
-
You and God are one
00:01:44Then, what is the meaning when it is said that you and God are one? When we want to know the thought of God, what is his message? That is, Truth, Righteousness, Peace, Sympathy, Concern and Tolerance. The son is the legal heir to the father's property. We have to make every attempt to propagate the message of the divine to one and all. Love is the most exalted one. Love is the inner current in all ways. In fact love, is the inner current in all noble values. Love is God, live in love. We have to consider love as God. Basically, the heart without love is not human at all.
-
Who is a true messenger of God
00:07:14Embodiments of Love! everyone knows that human life is highly valuable, sacred and noble. Students from the Anantapur campus, in the name of this organization "Messengers of Sathya Sai" have undertaken welfare activities. Service activities, in the first instance, are absolutely essential. What is the meaning of this word messenger? Who is a messenger? Everyone has taken birth because of the will of God. Every person is the messenger of God. When we think why and put a question: Why has God sent a messenger to this world - then we get the answer. The first duty is to make people experience the divine love in this world. In fact, progress is ensured when once we understand that life is gifted to render service to people in society; not merely living for one's own self in the stage of utter selfishness. Self satisfaction is derived when one serves fellowmen forgetting one's own self. You are sent to this world such that this culture, the message, is experienced and shared with others in this world. What is the use of merely taking birth? Dust thou art and to dust return est. Ultimately man goes back to dust - that's all. Oh Man! It was taught clearly, having the birth of a human being, having grown with the times as a human being, one has to realize the divinity within. The prime responsibility of every man lies here - that he has to propagate the principles of truth, love and peace with everybody, has to experience and share with others. The one who propagates the worldly, fleeting, ephemeral matters, sensual matters, he cannot be called a messenger. A messenger is the one who shares the message of the divine. A true messenger should propagate the principles of the divine, such as love, tolerance, sympathy and forbearance.
-
Everyman is a messenger of God
00:02:47Every man is a messenger. If we question ourselves, why are we born? Not merely to eat, drink and sleep and while away time. In fact this sort of life is a blot on humanity itself. Having been born as a human being, leading life as an animal, ending up like a demon - that is not what is expected of us. Right from the time of birth we should go on propagating the divine message. Whatever you may read, whatever job you may do, whatever you may achieve, ultimately it should reflect the divine. Who is following this path of truth? None! We just say that they dedicate their lives to spread God's message. What do you mean by dedication? What is the message that you propagate? Everyone has to enquire within one's own self. We are wasting 99% of our time. We should not do so. Right from the beginning we should propagate the noble, sacred principles of truth, of peace and of love. Many people waste their time by merely reading, doing their jobs, amassing wealth and enjoying worldly pleasures. Yes, do a job, earn money. But wealth earned should be well spent, for doing good deeds.

All names and forms are of God: Analogy of Sweets
00:01:27All names and forms are that of God. Hence, “Ek prabhu ko anek naam!”-One God has many names! God is called by so many names!! Sweets may be many viz., mysorepak, gulabjaam, kheer, barfi etc, but the sugar is one. When one realises this truth, one would not prefer one sweet over another. It is only the preference of the tongue by way of taste but the sugar tastes the same. It is only one’s likes and dislikes but no fault with the sugar or its sweetness. Man is the embodiment of Brahman. The word ‘Viswam’, the world, has a lot of meaning. Viswam= vi+ swa+ mu. That which has come down to earth with many arms and limbs is termed as ‘Viswam’. That is ‘Vishnu’, the Lord. ‘Viswam Vishnu swaroopam’ the entire cosmos is the manifestation of the Lord. Therefore, one must not give any room to differences.
-
You are Brahman, realise it: Analogy of a Camera
00:02:36Man is the embodiment of the Brahman. One should consider oneself as the Brahman and by believing and repeating the same, gradually one realises the truth and becomes the Brahman. There is a camera. When the camera is turned towards Swami and clicked, it captures the picture of Swami. Similarly the camera called ‘Mind’ has the lens called ‘Concentration’. When the lens is focused on Brahma and switch of ‘Buddhi’ is put on then, one would have the picture of Brahman immediately. The body is like the camera, the mind a lens, the thoughts the film, intellect is the switch and with this when the vision is God ward, one becomes Brahman. On many occasions Swami gives directives as to what to do and what not; it is not for His sake but to teach the principle of Brahman to people, to make them enter the realms of the divinity and to make their lives sacred and ideal. So every man must strive to become an ideal man; just as God is the eternal witness to everything man too must be like that. “Teraku venukala daagiyunna, Tatwamunu chooda yevvariki taramu kaadu, Kaarya mivvalanunde, kaaranamavvalanunde!! Kaarya kaarana sambandhamaina Bhaavamandu neevu bratikiyundu.” Nobody can see the divine principle hidden behind the curtain, for effect is one side the cause on the other!! Therefore one must lead life by understanding the relationship between the cause and the effect and redeem one’s life.
-
God is Hridayavasi
00:00:15That is why it is said that God resides in the heart. How must the heart be? “hruth” +”daya”= “hrudaya (heart)”. “Daya” is called as compassion.
-
God is your true friend
00:01:55Who is a friend? Today’s friends flock around as long as there is position, wealth, and health. Those are not friends in true sense. A friend who is permanent, pure, selfless, egoless, is God alone. One will not suffer when one takes God as one’s friend. Worldly friends may leave at times but the Lord is a friend who is , “in you, above you, below you and around you” and stays ever with one. Relatives come only up to the doorstep or to the funeral site; true relative is the sacred name of the Lord who is in, above, below and around one and who protects one at all times and under all circumstances. Hence God is the only true friend. “Ekam sat viprah bahuda vadanti” Truth is only one but comprehended in many ways. “Ekam sat mitraa bahuda vadanti!” There is only one truth and only one friend-- God ,who is the true friend of all. The worldly friends cannot be called as true friends. Friends today may become enemies tomorrow, but God will never ever become one’s enemy. God does not have the enmity at all with anyone. God is one's dearest friend.

Paapa bheethi, Daiva preethi, Sangha neethi
00:14:15“The ignorance, due to lack of fear of sin, The absence of love for God, The lack of human values in man, Makes the world lean on revolution for peace!!” What is the main cause for this revolution world over? There is no fear of sin today and have no love for God either. How can one expect to be at peace when these two are absent? Therefore one must, first of all, have these two namely- fear of sin and love of God. Man is born in society, grows in society, earns name and fame in society and learns many skills in the society and develops intelligence and gets reputation for being intelligent. Where did man get all these things? From the society man gets all these things. But have anyone of the young men and women thought of showing gratitude to the society from which they got the name and fame? What service is the youth rendering to the society in return for the good things received? How is one showing one’s gratitude to the society? These questions when put to one self, derive no answers. This is a big mistake. Every human being must possess the quality of gratitude. Having being the beneficiaries one must show gratitude. As an expression to one’s gratitude, one should render selfless service to the society; it is one’s foremost duty towards society and a form of service or ‘seva’. Based on these principles the ‘service to society’ has been started. But this social service is not to be seen anywhere today. Even this service is rendered to gain personal name and fame but not in a spirit of selflessness. Body is gifted to dedicate oneself to the society as the human body is sustained by the society. One must imbibe good qualities and virtues to serve the society as one is sustained by it. Welfare of the society should be taken care of. Today, there is no spirit of sacrifice among people in high positions and authority either in businesses, in politics or otherwise. In every field there is pollution and stone hearted people. So, one must make every effort to wipe out this dirt. This kind of pollution is present among people in authority, among parents, intellectuals, educated people and teachers as well. People take pride in their intellect without a trace of humility. An educator prides over the acquisition of high education but there is no spirit of sacrifice. A person in authority is egoistic about his authority but does not follow it up in actions. In every field, fear of sin and love for God are the two very important aspects. When one loves God, one tends to love the world too. One must be able to bear with people who might harm or punish one. The whole world should become as one family. The whole world is like a home and every human being is a brother to another. This is the spirit of brotherhood of man and fatherhood of God. One must experience the spirit of oneness and once this is experienced one cannot harm another. One’s soft tongue gets bitten by the sharp teeth around. Is one giving any punishment to the teeth just because the tongue is hurt? No. Why is it so? It is so because both the teeth and the tongue belong to one. Likewise one must try to pardon those that may hurt or cause harm. The spirit of forgiveness is very important among the young people. The youth is generally hot headed and react with fury and anger to anyone speaking against them. It is a big mistake. It is not a human quality. One must try to resolve things with peace and patience. Forbearance is truth, Forgiveness is dharma. Patience is Veda, Forbearance is non-violence. Forbearance is the sacred ritual, it confers happiness on everyone. It is everything all over the cosmos!! This spirit of forgiveness must be cultivated and practiced by the youth. Practice of such forbearance is true dharma, righteousness. One must tread on this path of righteousness to be a true human. Embodiments of Love!! One must make every effort to know the sacred qualities in a human being. The anger, lust, greed, ego, envy, are not human qualities but animal qualities. Those are not the qualities to be present in humans. It is a beast that causes fear and an animal that fears. Man is neither a beast nor an animal. One should not cause fear nor be fearful. One must transcend these qualities and conduct oneself as true human being. This chief quality must be imbibed by the youth today. One should never create fear in others nor be afraid of anybody. One should have fear of sin. One should love God. There is only one lovable object in the cosmos and that is God. Today one can see the love of mother, love of father, love of brothers, love of friends and relatives- all these forms of love have a selfish motive behind them, at least minutely. The only selfless love is the Divine love. God does not want anything from anyone. God does not expect anything from anyone. God is selfless from top to toe. It is wholesome love. God is love and one should love Him. When once one has the fear of sin one will love God. Such a man will be respected by the society. In order to earn esteem in the society, one must develop love for God and to cultivate love for God one must have this fear of sin. One must never give scope for sin. What is sin? As per Indian culture, ‘service to others is merit and harming others is sin (paropakaaraya punyaya, paapaya parapeedanam)’. ‘Help ever, hurt never.’ Then what is sin? Identifying oneself with the body and resorting to certain practices out of utter selfishness for the comforts and conveniences of the body, There are three words- ‘para’, ‘upa’, ‘kara’. ‘Para’ means ‘Atma’, ‘Upa’ means proximity and ‘Karana’ means doing. Going closer to the atma is termed as ‘punya’ or merit, virtue. Merit means proximity to the divinity. ‘Parapeedanam’ – ‘para’ means God, ‘peedanam’ – forgetting the nature of the divinity is the worst of the sins. Therefore the inner significance is that having faith in the divinity is merit and forgetting the divinity is sin. One should have full faith in the divinity of everyone.

Brahman and Prakruthi
00:04:14A number of Vedantic scholars who have studied the vedas and practised them are plagued by doubts as to how can the Brahman, the creator and prakruthi, the nature, the creation be treated as one, when one sees them as separate entities. It is true that for all the outer appearances these two, the Brahman and the nature, look separate. A small example to understand this: a seed when planted properly gives rise to a plant, the plant grows into a big tree, and the tree grows with branches giving flowers and fruits. One sees the diverse manifestation of plant, tree, flowers and fruits emanating from the seed. It is the illusory appearance of nature that makes one believe that they are diverse and different. But when one sees the same seed, plant, tree, flowers and fruits from a spiritual angle, one finds that it is the different manifestations of the mud in which the seed was sown. All the apparent forms have arisen from the mud. So a tree born out of mud is mud and cannot be anything different from mud. Likewise prakruthi, nature that one sees around, and which is born of Brahman is essentially Brahman and it cannot be anything else. It is an apparent illusory vision, which makes one think that, the nature is different from Brahman. This is the teaching of Vedanta.

God is the photographer; Always be ready
00:01:43Real Bliss can come to you only when you obey and follow Swami’s commands in every sense of the word. I am always ready to receive you but you are not getting ready to come to Me! Before clicking a picture, the photographer gives an alert with the word, “Ready!” If you are steady at that moment, then the picture comes out nicely. Before the photographer gives that signal you could be shuffling about, but when the signal is given, you really ought to be ready. Where the Divine photographer is concerned, no one knows when His signal would come. You therefore have to be ever ready to be united with the Divine. Without any prior alert, Lord the Master Photographer may click and your picture would be recorded in His Heart! If you want the right picture to be recorded in God’s Heart, then you must always be ready for anything. That is the spirit in which life must be lived!
-
All are embodiment's of God
00:01:25One must consider every other as the divine self. ‘There are no enemies and no haters. All are my forms.’ these thoughts must be developed day by day. In spite of long years of devotion one is unable to inculcate such broad mindedness. Broad mindedness is life and narrow mindedness is death. Therefore, contraction of love is death and expansion of love is life. One must develop expansion of love and should not bother or pay heed to others comments for there is no wrong committed. One need not fear when proceeding in the right path and proceed with courage. When will one have the courage to proceed? When one does good deeds one gets the courage to proceed further. Therefore, Embodiments of Love! develop love, not the transient love but the permanent love. One needs the love that is true, eternal and immortal.
-
God alone protects you and not relations
00:00:45Relatives exist as long as there is life in the body. All the relatives follow one only up to the threshold or to the burial ground. The only refuge and the true mate who accompanies in life and beyond is God. It is only God, who is above, below, around and within and protects where ever one may be. Relatives shower their concern as long as one is alive but beyond that nobody cares. Hence life is not true, it is not permanent; one’s deeds and actions are true and permanent.

Mind is Vishnu, speech is Brahma and heart is Eshwara
00:01:26There is divinity in every man and so everybody should feel that one’s heart is the place of divinity; Eshwara dwells in one’s heart. The mind is made up of thoughts and that mind is Lord Vishnu. Therefore one must respect the mind as one would respect Lord Vishnu. One must not allow one’s mind to indulge either in worthless deeds or in narrow minded thoughts, because mind is the form of Lord Vishnu. Therefore one must consider one’s mind as Lord Vishnu. Brahma was born out of the navel of Vishnu. The thing that has come out of the navel of Lord Vishnu is speech. Therefore, Brahma is faculty of speech, mind is Lord Vishnu and heart is Eshwara; hence the trinity exists in man. When man develops such conviction and faith, then he can turn away from the physical world and develop inner vision. People go to Kailasa to see Eshwara, but where is Kailasa? One’s heart is Kailasa.
-
Who is trinity
00:02:20Who is ‘Eshwara’? Vedas refer to “Eashwara” as the soul or the atma. It has also stated that the ‘hrudaya’, heart, is the ‘atma’. Hrudaya is the very form of Eshwara. ‘Eshwara sarva bhootanam’ Eshwara is present in all the beings. It follows that ‘hrudaya’ is Eshwara and so He is called as “hrudayeshwara”. The mind is the reflection of the heart. The mind stands for Vishnu. “Vishnu” means the one who is all pervasive. Mind too is all pervasive. “Mano moolam midam jagath” the whole universe is a manifestation of the mind. The thoughts or the will that originates in mind is the ‘Eshwara’. That is the speech faculty or talk. Therefore the three aspects of atma or heart, mind, speech constitute the quality of humanness. Sanctifying these three is the real purity, “trikarana sudhdhi” Hence Vishnu is not present elsewhere but one’s mind is Vishnu. The mind which is Vishnu must be shaped in an ideal way which will make it steady and pure. Heart stands for Eshwara. One’s thoughts and speech is Brahma. Therefore speech signifies brahma.
-
God is the seed for the entire Universe
00:02:19The seed germinates into a plant, bearing fragrant flowers. The branches, tender fruits etc are the result of the various changes and transformations that the flower undergoes. God is the seed for the entire world. God manifests in everyman by way of the seed of will, grows shoots and branches of attributes or ‘gunas’, the thorns of attachment and ego and appears as the flowers of ‘sat’, ‘chith’ and ‘ananda’ the eternal bliss. The vedas speak about it : “Satyam brooyaath” –speak only the truth; it is a moral value. “Priyam brooyaath”—the truth must be spoken in pleasing manner; it is righteous way in human values. “Nabruyath sathyam apriyam” – one should not speak untruth just because it is relished. Truth is pleasant, attractive and blissful.
-
God manifests everywhere
00:01:15Just as the vision in the eyes, sound in the ears, God too manifests Himself in human body by way of awareness. There is no place in this world where God does not exist. Therefore, the divine power is present all over the world. Creation is the manifestation of the divine will; that is creation is the very form of God. That is called as “prakruthi” or nature. Every being born in this nature is of the divine qualities. Man is born to express and manifest the divine quality.
-
All names and forms are One
00:02:32Any name any form are one and the same. One God has many names. God has many names. One day you may worship god in thousand names and you got thousand flowers for worship. You say one name and offer flower. Another name, offer another flower. By saying each name you start offering a flower each time. Do you find each form for every flower? One form is called by many names. Then where is God? God has many forms, he is in you too and this we call "Anga puja" I say I offer my eye. What a mistake it is to offer such meaningless puja? what satisfaction you have? God will not receive such prayer. When once you say I offer my eye, do you do that? You collect a flower, touch it and then offer to God. You say eye but you offer flower. In fact you are cheating God. In fact whole body and the limbs are the gifts of god.The body, the limbs and God belongs to you and you belong to him. When there is intimate relationship, you don't to need to pray or worship. Those who have not reached that stage, can always perform Pujas and japas. Nothing wrong in it. They all have got to be practiced initially. Gradually you should cut short your negative practices.

Swami on Reflection, Reaction, Resound
00:01:48Embodiments of Love! Confidence in the Self, Self confidence should be the goal. With self confidence whatever you do, you are bound to be successful. Self confidence is the most essential to man. If you want to receive love from others, you have to love them first. If you want to be respected, you should respect first. Without respecting others you cannot expect to be respected. As you love God, God loves you too. The whole life revolves around these three reaction, reflection and resound. We have to love all. Then only you will be the recipient of love of everyone. You should respect all. Then everyone will respect you in turn. That what you want, you have to do it for yourself. All our actions represent the three principles of reaction, reflection and resound. First respect others, you love others and then you will be loved by everyone.

Who is God and where He is
00:02:37In the worldly investigation one might be in position in the field of education the second may be the boss in the Revenue department, the third one may be the head in the Police section. Just as we have a minister in charge of a portfolio, as all of them are under the control of the Prime minister, the creation is represented by Brahma, sustenance Vishnu and annihilation is represented by Shiva. They take care of these three branches or portfolio. But the master of all these three is God itself. Mohammadans call him ALLAH, each religion has got a particular name given but Indians or Westerners whosoever may be they call him GOD. What is the spelling of GOD , G is Generation or creation, O is Organisation or sustenance and maintenance. D is destruction, annihilation hence this very word GOD contains within the three principles creation, sustenance and annihilation. The one want to be recognised basing on the direct proof will manifest the divinity. One might say or not but TRUTH remains all the same. Where is HE? GOD is present in everybody. We should not have differences.

How to comprehend Divinity
00:06:18No one can comprehend the divinity in whole. Though they try to analyze and investigate very few understand it in true spirit. He may be a millionaire he will not eat or partake Gold he eats only food. This is the principle of Equality in Humanity. God is in everyone. God is present both in truth and untruth, righteous and unrighteous, the merit and the sin as well. To realise this sacred unity, since ancient times sages have been trying, attempting to understand the reality. The Veda declared ultimately that God transcends the darkness beyond illusion but in the modern age the divine principle is investigated and experimented upon and revealed in a new way. The entire universe proceeds along three directions. One is the nature of creation. The second is the maintenance or sustenance of the creation, third is the annihilation. The entire universe has got these three fundamental qualities of creation, sustenance and annihilation. No one can deny this fundamental truth. No scientist can say no to this. This is experienced and visualised all over the world. That which is created is maintained. Having been sustained it is bound to annihilate. This is the direct experience. When one who investigates and analyse the attributes of nature will be able to understand the divinity. We can also understand in this physical world the divinity latent in humanity. The ephemeral world may not be the foundation of the divinity yet you can experience it. You can find the lions there but they are not real lions in the sense but through those lions you have seen you can also think of the real lions. Similarly in this world, every experience, every material object makes you think of God. The sugar in the sugarcane and that which is hotness in chilly, the sourness in tamarind and bitterness in neem all these demonstrate the divinity. You find the stars glittering, the movement of the waves, sun shines brilliantly, its the moon who gives you the moonlight. Thats all the direct proof of the divine. They may not very much prove the existence of God but exhibit the divinity.

How man can become Divine
00:01:00Embodiments of Love! The person who understands and experiences the divine spirit in him being very much same in others, such a person, be it a householder, a renunciant or the one attached, such a person will have God installed in his heart all through. He himself gets transformed into the divine.
-
God is beyond five elements
00:02:35No matter how high a position and capacity a scientist may have achieved in his profession, he can have no connection with things beyond the five elemental substances, earth, water, fire, air, and space. God is behind the curtain and beyond these five elements. God exhibits His powers outside the region of these five elements. Man operates within the region of these five elements. So long as the intimate connection, as we know it in our daily lives, exists between man and the five elements, man cannot understand the true significance of the Paramatma Tattwa (Elemental principle). To some extent, we can make use of the five elements to make things easy and comfortable for ourselves in this material world, but that process should be only for the purpose of understanding the Divine aspect or the Paramatma. On the contrary, to try and confine ourselves within the domain of the five elements for the purpose of understanding God’s ways or working in the belief that God can be brought down to the material plane on which we choose to build our sensory desires will be tantamount to wasting our time. One who is able to understand and realise the truth that these five elements are the creation of God and that they are created at his pleasure is one who understands things in their proper perspective. One who does not understand and accept this perspective as the ultimate truth is a mudamathi.

God incarnates to re-establish righteousness
00:01:23Depending upon the nature of the country, the passage of time and the individuals who live in that country, such deterioration sets in at different times. When such a deterioration sets in, God will appear in human form either in the garb of a Paramahamsa (Realised sage) or as an Avatar for the purpose of re-establishing righteousness and restoring the original traditions.
-
Do not blame God for your mistakes
00:00:20In times of difficulty never blame God, never criticize God, enquire within, dig deep within yourself, find your own faults and rectify them, then alone will you be good.
-
Don't cry for mundane things; Cry for God
00:01:49You must develop such faith, courage and conviction and should not cry over others words. Crying comes quite natural to ladies. It is something like the washer- less taps from which the water drips continuously. It is not good. One must control it. Why should one shed tears? Spiritually, they have a meaning. ‘Naara’ means water. ‘Nayanamu’ means eyes. Water, naara, coming from eyes, nayanamu, becomes ‘naarayanamu’, the Lord. So one should shed tears only for the Lord and for none. They are the tears of joy and not tears of grief. One should not cry for anything. Difficulties and hardships come, but they are like passing clouds. There are no permanent clouds in this world. All have to move on. Once this truth is known, one need not worry any longer. Therefore one should have firm devotion and conviction. One should develop steady and unwavering mind and looks and should never change one’s outlook. One should never make one’s heart unsacred but make it rooted and steady.
-
Give your heart only to God and none else
00:01:13Youngsters!! One should not entertain either physical matters or the future situations, or those pertaining to family in the heart. One should make place for God alone in one’s heart! The art is outside. Heart is inside. All the art outside is a manifestation of the heart inside. So think of the heart first not the art. When once one rejoices in the heart, the same is projected on the art outside. Everything is a reflection of the inner being. When one is happy inside it reflects on the outside too! Happiness inside comes from the faith that God resides in one’s heart and is always one’s companion. One needs to strengthen such faith to experience ever increasing enthusiasm and zeal.
-
When I am God, why should I pray Him
00:01:16One can also inquire in another way. How should one pray to God? When one is God oneself, why should one pray? However one must engage in good activities until one realises one’s divinity. One must do every activity as an offering to the Lord. In the history of Bharat, it is said, “All activities should be done to please God!” Whatever one may do, it must be considered as divine activity. When one goes about doing so, all the actions performed by him shall become divine! At the beginning it might be strenuous to do so, one may face hardships, but gradually it becomes a habit and ultimately becomes one’s ‘Sadhana’ (worship).

How God is present in human being
00:01:23God, who is all pervasive, is present in a human being too! In what form is he present? The Lord resides in the body just like the eye-sight in the eyes and the power to hear in ears. Creation is the expression of the will of the God. This is called ‘Prakruthi’ or nature. Nature has emanated out of the Divine. Therefore every human being born in this nature has got the divine quality. Man is born to manifest and to express the Divinity immanent in him.
-
Offer all your actions to God
00:01:27Creation is the manifestation of the cosmic will. It is referred to as ‘nature’. Whosoever is born of this ‘nature’ imbibes the same attributes and qualities of this nature. One must realise the truth that the creation is a manifestation of the cosmic will. Who should one offer to all the dynamism of this creation? Is for one’s own selfish motives? No. Is it for the fellow beings? No. Whatever one might do or whoever one might serve, when one does it with sense of giving pleasure to God then all such actions are bound to reach God. Man’s upper most motives should be to do all actions as worship to God.

Names and forms are many, God is one
00:05:00God is only one but names and forms are many. Each one likes a particular form and or a particular name. That does not mean that we should reject another form or another name. We should strengthen the idea in our mind that God is only one. We should have the belief that we all belong to one caste of humanity. There is only one language. What is that language? The language of the heart. If we can promote such equal mindedness and non-dualistic attitude and enter into service, our service will lead to fruition. Religions are different but the path along which you travel to the destination is the one and same. Garments may be different but material with which they are made is one and the same, ornaments may be many, but gold is the same, colours of the cows may be different but the milk that comes from all is the same, the sects and the groups may be different but life in them is one and the same, flowers may be of different species, but worship is one. Man is troubling himself with these differences in his life for the sake of living. What other truth can I convey to you? O noble members of this august assembly! The Muslims refer to God as Allah, the good Christians refer to God as Jehovah, the Vaishnavites refer to God as the lotus-eyed one, and the Shaivites always refer to HIM as Shambho. In this manner, with different names they pray but have the feeling that the God who gives health, long life, prosperity and protects all is only one. First and foremost, among the Sevadal workers of the Sathya Sai Organizations, you must make an attempt to have unity, recognize the sacredness of Atma and divinity of Eshwara.
-
God gives strength to everyone
00:01:19In the third line of the verse, it has also been said that you will have such an ability if you can see the oneness of all the creation around you. The same thing has been said by Prahlada when he asked, who is it that gives the strength to all the persons, weak and strong, human and super human, and in fact everyone in this world? He who gives strength to everyone, is the strongest of all. Prahlada taught this lesson to his father.
-
God is no different from nature
00:02:00There is only one God. Recognise the fact that there is only one God and one divinity, to whichever country you belong or whichever religion you belong. Make yourself distant from feelings of differences. You should accept and live the life of equality. Basically we should recognise the laws of Nature. God is not different from Nature. The Nature has been called 'Dhara'. This Dhara in reverse becomes Radha. Radha-Krishna are the symbolic representation of Nature and God. If we can make effort to discharge our duties, living in Nature. Giving up your own duties, giving trouble to others, what is it that you are going to get if you worship God? Do not hurt or cause pain to living beings. Not caring for the words of God, doing worship and meditating, you are not going to achieve anything. Whatever you are doing, consider that as worship of God and do it.
-
God incarnates to hold devotees as Ideals
00:01:46People have been thinking that the incarnation of Krishna is an ideal person and he holds on to the ideals for the world. God comes down as an incarnation in order to show to the world the sacredness, the purity and the ideals of a devotee. You may be thinking according to your understanding that God incarnates in order to establish Dharma and destroy wickedness but this is wrong. In God's view there is no dharma and adharma, everything emerges out of His will. Only when we love every person and everything then only we would have truly loved. Whomsoever you hate you would have hated God Himself.
-
Avatars descend to teach love and Sacrifice
00:01:50Everything in the world is like a passing cloud. It comes and goes. In this process a number of experiences will be gained by people. We should always recognise the experience in our own life. Whatever incarnation it is, be it Rama or Krishna or Kurma or any avatar - there is only one reason as to why an avatar or incarnation takes place. All incarnations come to teach the principle of Love to mankind. Oh man you are bound by so many things because you are filled with selfishness and because you do not have that love manifesting in you. Cultivate sacrifice and love, then you will transform into total divinity. A man without sacrifice ruins himself in diseases.
-
Everything should be treated as a gift of God
00:01:26Criticizing God whenever you are having some problems and difficulties, praising God when your wishes are fulfilled is a very narrow way of looking at God. This is not a broad understanding of God. At what time, in what place, what happens, is bound to happen, this cannot be changed. Whatever happens should be treated as a gift of God. Only when you develop such true love, spirituality springs up in your hearts automatically. We should not develop only the worldly relationships. The inner atmic relationship is a true relationship. To whichever place you go, whatever you see, you should consider God's joy as your joy.
-
Say to God,
00:02:38Not only that, you say that you belong to God, you don't say God belongs to you. These are the two things which happened during Krishna's time. All the Yadavas, filled with arrogance, thought that Krishna belonged to them and they said that our Krishna is responsible for all the victories of Pandavas. On account of that, ego developed. As long as you are filled with ego, you can never understand the principle of Atma. That is why the entire Yadava race was destroyed. Contrary to this, Gopikas always believed that they belonged to Krishna, they offered themselves to Krishna, they dedicated themselves to Krishna. As they thought that they belonged to Krishna, Krishna was always with them. That we belong to you, not that you belong to us. If you say that you belong to us, you are separate from us. Once we think that we belong to Him, we become a part of Him, we get merged in Him. When you are filled with this I, then we have another entity called YOU which separates you from that. Once you make I plus You, it becomes We. Once there is that We, both are God. If you put We plus We again it is We alone. Therefore when you say that I belong to you, you become, you get the nature of God Himself. Therefore you should transform your own thinking into divinity with broad mindedness.

Power of divinity is all pervasive
00:04:22As has been said, for the moving and the non-moving component of this world, there is only one father, one master. He is GOD, that is consciousness. That consciousness only runs the entire universe. It is that which is making human beings do all the actions. Man is only merely an instrument. Man is an tool In the hands of this consciousness. Divinity is not confined by space, time and circumstance. The body, the mind, the intelligence and behaviour are things which are shaped and controlled by space, time and circumstances. Hence, forgetting divinity, in this transient, impermanent and untrue aspects of the world, man, forgetting the truth, is attempting to waste his life. All actions are being done by the cosmic consciousness. Man, not recognizing this truth is thinking and is deluded that he is doing all the various tasks and actions. This is ignorance. Man is a mere instrument. The divine consciousness that is present in him energizes him giving strength to all organs, and with these organs and intelligence makes him do all the actions in the world. All actions are meant to cleanse one's chitta, mind. Through all the actions that man performs, purification of mind happens. All work which is done with a feeling of offering to God becomes the main basis for purifying the mind. Whatever work we do we should do it as an offering to God and thereby we should try to purify our mind.

Swami on Shivam, Shavam and Soham
00:02:26The aspect of Eshwara is present everywhere. It is present firmly in our heart. Whom are we calling Eshwara? What is the meaning of the aspect of Eshwara? In what form is it present in us? Let us dwell on this to know more. This is something which is related to “Mangala”, the auspiciousness and prosperity. and “Amangala” or lack of prosperity; they coexist. On one hand there are the destructive forces bent on annihilating the world and its prosperity and on the other hand there are the constructive forces working for the well being of the mankind, promoting prosperity in the world. In the same manner good and bad, ‘Mangala’ and ‘Amangala’ are always present like an object and its image. There is the aspect of Siva which comes from the depths of our hearts. “Soham”, when we talk of “So...ham” it comes from the divinity in the inhalation, “So...” and exhalation, “...Ham” of our breath and that is the aspect of Shiva. When this aspect of “Soham” stops, your breath stops. Then what happens to you? You become a dead body, a corpse. A “Shavam”, corpse is “Amangala”, one that is devoid of the life breath, “Soham”. “Shivam” means “Mangala”, auspiciousness or “Soham” the breath. This living force, the aspect of Shiva, this 'So ham' breath, is present in every human being.

God is protecting you every moment
00:00:21The whole universe is divine. Everything is essentially Brahma. God is not separately located elsewhere. He is with you, in you, above you, below you, around you and is protecting you like an eye lid.
-
Do not forget and giveup God
00:01:34Embodiments of love! You would have never expected that your lives would be so Divine here. Under any circumstance, everywhere and at any point of time or tryst and trouble, never forget God. Never give up God. In fact, without Daiva or God, it is Daiyya or the demon. You should be Daiva or divine and not Daiyya or demonic. You are the child of immortality. See that your life befits that title. Uphold and live up to that. Youngsters today should never waste their physical strength. Offer everything to God. Physical strength is God's gift. There is God's power in every inch, every cell, and in every atom. If you waste a little or any fraction of it you become a traitor. Consider and offer it as an offering it to God.

Why are we in search of God
00:01:54We don't need to search for God. Why do we search? Because there is no sanctity or sacred quality in us. Because there is no trace of sacredness within you, you look for it outside. Because there is no kindness within, you are in search of the ultimate compassionate one. When you are compassionate, the Lord of compassion is there within you. Will anyone be in search of anything that is with them? In fact, we search for that which we don't have. As we don't have within, we are in search of God outside. That is wrong. God is within us. God is in you, with you, above you, below you, around you. You are God. You should have that feeling that you are GOD. The knower of God becomes God Himself. Don't have body feelings. Body is an instrument. Mind is an instrument. Senses are instruments, but you are the master. You should reach that state. Only then will you have the quality of Shiva. Shiva means Auspiciousness. Because of the absence of auspiciousness you are surrounded by inauspiciousness. That auspiciousness is within us. That which is within you, why are you searching for it outside? People wear their spectacles right on their nose but they search for their glasses in their bedroom. When once they stand in front of a mirror, they see their glasses. We should have the feeling of fraternity or brotherhood among all.
-
What is the Path to Divinity
00:01:15Whatever you do, take it as God's work. Don't take it as my work or your work. We are all members in God's family. We are all the children of God. You are only a trustee of God's power and gifts. You should be a trustee. You should never misuse it. We should make a proper use of this body. We should make proper use of our speech. Our words and actions mut be used properly. What is the path towards divinity? See no evil, see what is good. Hear no evil, hear what is good. Talk no evil, talk what is good. Think no evil, think what is good. Do no evil, do what is good. This is the way to God. The path of divinity is so simple and easy, but we undertake penance and meditate. We should render help in every possible way.

Who are theTrinity
00:04:32In this world there are none who have seen Brahma, Vishnu, Maheswara. Who is Brahma? Who is Vishnu? Who is Maheswara? The trinity represents the atttributes in mankind. There should be harmony and unity of this trinity and that should be offered to Lord Shiva. What is mean by Shiva? The state of auspiciousness. When you find the unity in this trinity, you find the auspiciousness there. In the political field, there are many branches - there are many ministries like the health ministry and finance ministry. Similarly, in spirituality also there are many branches. The three branches of creation, sustenance and annihilation. One is the leader of this creation department. There is a leader for this sustenance department. There is a leader for annihilation, too. Each one is only head of his own department. However, they have to take care of their sections and run their administration in a smooth way. In this trinity there is a master of all the three. You can take him to be the chief minister or the prime minister. His name is GOD. All the three are under his control. This is what we call GOD. This is also called Allah. Many interpretations are made and we have assigned various names and forms to God. Divinity is responsible for all the three aspects. In English, divinity is expressed by this word GOD. G for Generation or creation, O - Organization, D - Destruction. Unity among these three aspects is called GOD. Man is not able to understand divinity. We say that D signifies Destruction, or annihilation. It actually means merger. O - organization - stands for protection. G - generation – is creating one own self. Brahma Vishnu Maheswara represent the inner faculties in man. To understand it, spirituality is necessary.

How to comprehend God
00:03:54Embodiments of love! Divinity is beyond comprehension. It is easy to argue regarding the spiritual field. It is easy to criticise the mystery, the miracle of God. But it is very difficult to understand divinity completely. It is not proper to caw like crows in the street about bad things. It is very good to sing like the cuckoo, about good things. Tastes differ. Something that you like is not liked by another. One thing will appear good to you but the same thing will appear very bad to another. Such is human life, how do you expect it to comprehend divinity? Since ancient times, the sacred texts of Bharat, like the sacred epics and vedas, helped us to investigate and experiment on divinity. It is the teaching of the upanishad that tells us that just as you find sugar in syrup, just as you find butter in milk, you find divinity everywhere. God is present in both good and bad. God is present in both truth and falsehood, merit and sin. Under these circumstances, how can we decide what is a lie or sin or unrighteousness? It is the teaching of Bhagavad Gita that you are all the sparks of the divine. The one who realises the principle that the cosmic divinity is present in all would be able to understand this principle of equality.

Three types of men who hate even God
00:01:00Today, when our desires are fulfilled, we are very happy, if they are not fulfilled, we are sad. There are three types of people who hate God. Who are they? Those that have no faith in God, those who are frustrated when their desires are not fulfilled, and those who have individual differences. Only these three categories hate God, none else. In general, all love God. We should foster our relationship with God through Love. You should reach God through love. You cannot have God without love. Ego and jealousy will not help you develop love for God. Only Love is required. We should live in this world with love.
-
Everything happens according to His will
00:02:40Any act done anywhere, is only because of the will of God. Every day, without fail, you find sunrise and sunset. Why? The stars that glitter at night, why do they hide themselves during the day? The wind god takes no rest even for a moment. Why should he give us breeze untiringly, continuously, like the running brooks, wherever we look in Nature, for all beings? Why then do we observe differences on grounds of money, caste, or community? Who knows under whose will or command we live here! Follow His command , obey His command. Everything is God's will. For every action, no matter how small, God is the cause. Even a blade of grass cannot move without His will. Good and bad are based on your feelings, but from God's view point both are the same. Since ancient times, Bharath has given this sacred teaching, that all are one.

All is Divine
00:03:13Everything is divine. The universe is God. God is in all beings. The awareness is the divinity present in all created beings. Whomsoever you put to suffering or harm, it amounts to harming God. Therefore it is said, helping others is meritorious, harming others is a sin. Help ever hurt never. However, under certain circumstances, we do undergo suffering. We should take time to make a distinction between that which is transient and that which is permanent. Shivatwa represents the sacred qualities in man. Such sacred bliss is present in every man. There is no man without sanctity. He might not recognize it within himself but there lies sanctity within him. Under these circumstances, how are we to understand human life? We have to understand that it is divinity which has taken a human form. The body is made of the five elements. It is the dwelling place of God. Body is the temple of God. It's not a static temple, it’s a moving temple. Where ever you may go, you find God there. All over, everywhere, you find his feet, and also his hands. Therefore we should lead our life in a sacred way so as to understand divinity. When you turn towards sacredness, you will understand divinity. It is only our temperament that is responsible for making us understand this principle. It is only body feeling that leads to bondage. Divine feeling makes you free. We may live long but we should lead a divine life.

Either praise or crticism would reach God
00:02:27Sacred boys and girls! Turn your heart into temple of god, spend your time in thought of God, be one with God and spend all your time and thoughts in the name of God. Also recognize the truth that such God who is in the temple of your heart is also present in the temple of the heart of every other person Recognizing that is necessary. If you cause harm and hurt to anyone, you are causing harm and hurt to the God who is also in him. The Upanishads of this country say that whomsoever you may give obeisance to, whomsoever you may give Namaskar, that goes and reaches ultimately Kesava. The inner meaning of this is that, in everyone there is Kesava. What you do to anyone will go and reach Kesava. There is another parallel saying, whatever abuse you may give to any individual, all that abuse will ultimately go and reach Kesava. Whatever work any individual does in this world will always produce reaction, resound and reflection. It is in the context of this reaction, resound and reflection being produced, it is said, "DO good, BE good, SEE good, this is the way to God.

Path to liberation and realization of God
00:02:26The one who lives in this world should first become a human being and understand what the nature of this body is. One who goes on praising the bad deeds of others is a fool. The way of understanding one’s self is the path for liberation. Realizing the transient aspect of the human body, one of the disciples of Shankara described the boyhood, youth, adolescence and old age in such a manner that the description creates in you a certain amount of repulsion and detachment. It does not matter how long each one lives. Everyone must leave his body sometime or other. It is very much necessary that so long as we live in this body, we use the available time for understanding God. It is necessary to find the means for ultimately merging with God. We do not know when we are going to leave this body. The body is made up of matter and it will die.
-
God who resides in everyone is only One
00:03:17The whole world is universal mother. All are children of the whole world. Everybody is brother and sister. We should not have any differences. We might have different qualities, But we all are one. Everything exhibits oneness. There is water in the river, there is water in the ocean, there is water in the tank, there is water in the vessel. There is water everywhere. But in all the water, you see reflected only one Sun. The waters may be different, but the Sun is the same. The Sun cannot be in so many forms everywhere. Similarly, in the lake of love, the form of God is reflected. You should not show differences between this God and that God. There is only one, say the wise people. God who resides in everyone is only One. It is not correct to say that I like Sai Baba, I like Rama, I like Krishna. There is only one God and He is omnipresent. We have got to recognize this truth and hold on to it strongly. You should not hate any name. If you are a Christian, become a true Christian. If you are a Hindu, become a true Hindu. If you are a Muslim, become a true Muslim. But if you say one name and do something else, it is not correct at all. Without Love one can never be a Christian or a Sikh or a Hindu. Without Love man cannot be anything, this or that. One who doesn't feel this is a demon on earth. The one who doesn't feel this Love is a demon. Without love if you call yourself a Hindu or a Muslim or a Christian, you are like a demon. It is little minds which think I am Christian, I am this, I am that. We have got to inculcate one Love.
-
Paapa bheethi, Daiva Preethi
00:01:00Therefore, we have got to have the fear of sin. We should elevate love of God. If one does not have the fear of sin, what is the use? You have to hold on to the love of God. From man, you have to go to the divine principle. Why is there so much upheaval in the world today? Because of lack of fear of sin and love of God. You have got to fear sin. You have got to love God. This love of God will vanquish everything.

You are the embodiment of God
00:01:27Wherever you see, there is principle of God. You are also God. But you are unable to understand this. God's hands, legs and heads are everywhere. Wherever you see, you see God's hands, God's legs, God's heads everywhere. You think you are doing something without God seeing it. He is seeing everything. He is behind you always. He is doing all your work Himself. The second line of the verse says that, He is inside every man. He is inside, invisible. He is there as your atma. There are three principles here, the gross, the mind, and that which is beyond. We have to bring out the divinity in these three principles. Only by such effort can man achieve spiritual practices.

Swami on three types of Shakthi
00:01:30Therefore, Renunciation, Wisdom and Bhakthi are due to these things. Iccha Shakthi, Kriya Shakthi, Jnana Shakthi. Iccha Shakthi concerns itself with the worldly things. That is, this body. Kriya Shakthi concerns itself with the mind. And the wisdom concerns itself with the atmic principle. You are not one, but you are three. The one you think you are is the physical body. The one others think you are is the mental body. The one you really are is the strength of the atma. So, the universe is full of the divine Iccha Shakthi, Jnana Shakthi and Kriya Shakthi. These are all pervasive. One cannot forget these at any time. Every man should try to understand the principles of these three Shakthis.

Who are Bhavani and Shankara
00:02:33Bhavani Shankara is the name by which the deities are called. Bhavani means earnestness. Shankara means faith. Bhavani and Shankara means the combination of faith and earnestness. It is because of earnestness and this form of Shankara that you can do your various practices - by this strength. This form of Shankara is the very form of Bhavani, Bhavani is the very form of Shankara. The whole world is that of the form of Ardhanareeshwara. So, in this universe, Bhavani and Shankara are so closely knit together. Whatever the name or the form you worship, it is embedded in Bhavani Shankara. Without earnestness and faith, you cannot achieve anything. We get wisdom only because of Sraddha or earnestness. It is only by faith we realize the divinity within man. So everything is a form of Bhavani and Shankara. It is a form of Ardhanareeshwara. Everybody in this world utter, Srimathi and Sri. Srimathi means Bhavani. Sri means Shankara. So the divinity in man is the combination of Bhavani and Shankara. Concerning the body, it is Bhavani; in the mind it is Shankara; the combination of these gives the third, and the third one is the atmic principle.

Feel the presence of God in everything
00:01:17How can you understand that Self? All feelings are reflections of your thoughts. It is all your imagination. Sound is present everywhere, all around. Many people spoke so nicely today. We have listened to melodious music. What happened to those songs? The sounds are everywhere now. It is here in the table, there in the pillar, the hall; the divine vibrations, sound, is present everywhere. You cannot say that it is here and missing there. As you listen, you think that the sound comes from one place, but the sound is everywhere without you noticing it. The divine sound pervades us from top to toe.

God is present in everything
00:05:20Embodiments of love! Boys and Girls! In this Vallabhai Stadium, we are now noticing different kinds of bulbs that are shining differently. In several places, we are observing the different kinds of bulbs shining in many ways. These bulbs are different and they appear to be different from each other, but the current that is flowing through them is one and same. In the same manner, all your bodies are compared to different bulbs. The divine atma that is present in all of you is the current. To connect such a current through all these bodies you have to use the two wires, the wire of truth and the wire of right conduct. At this moment, in this bulb, we do find something which is nice, pleasant and bright. This shining that you see in this bulb is PREMA (LOVE). There is no man in this world in whom this love does not exist. One may designate and call this love by different names, one may utilize the love that is in him in many ways. But love is something which is one and only one, it is not a diverse phenomenon. If therefore we have the desire that this love should shine in the mansion of this world, the bulb which is shanthi or peace should be in good condition. To the bulb which is in good condition, there should be a proper connect through the wire DHARMA. Simply because we have a wire connected to it, we are not able to enjoy the shine of PREMA. Through the wire of Dharma should pass the truth, the current of truth. Thus we have here, that the current is truth, the wire is Dharma, through the current of truth has to pass the wire of Dharma. Peace is the bulb, then we get the shining of love. If we desire to spread universal love(PREMA) all round this world, then you have to realize the oneness of these three qualities, Satya, Dharma and Shanthi. Where there is no light, there is no brightness. If there is no brightness, there will be darkness. Where there is darkness, there will be ignorance and fear. So when there is no light of love, ignorance will spread. Where there is the darkness of ignorance, there will be fear. Because of the fact that love has disappeared from the world today, we see the fearful signs and the frightful things that are happening, In this context, I am hoping that the boys and Girls who belong to various institutions of Balvikas should make all attempts to promote love in this world.

Names are many God is one
00:03:14Divyatma Swarupas! Embodiments of Divine Atma! God is only one. He may take different forms and names, but God is one. Boys and Girls, in the Maharastra area, you are familiar with many sweets which we make, Mysore Paak, Gulabjamun, Kheer, jalebi peppermints and so on. All these sweets which we make, they have one thing which is basic, common in all of them, and that is sugar. So also whether you call God by any name, Rama, Krishna, Govinda, Narayana, or Sai baba, whatever name you may use, you must have the faith, and remember that the one thing that is Divine in all of them is the Atma, the supreme Atma. Religions are all different , but the paths is one. It is that which will be referred to as the pure heart. The cloths may be different from each other, but the essential base element is the one. The ornaments are different, but the Gold that goes to make them is one. The appearance of various cows may be different, but the milk that comes from all of them is one and the same. There are various animals and different forms of living beings which you see, but the jeeva (divinity) in all of them is one and the same. The caste and the morals of the different sects may be different, but the birth of all these people is one. The flowers belong to different categories, but the worship which you do with the flowers is the same. It is only for our individual pleasure that we are adopting different methods, but aspect of Atma is one and the same, and is no different from one method to another is something which you boys and girls should clearly recognize.

Sath Chith Ananda is the form of Dattatreya
00:01:42The basic qualities or attributes of divinity are three. They are Sat, Chit, Ananda. These three, Sat, Chit, Ananda, being, awareness and bliss are qualities which one need not work hard and earn. They are within us shining brightly in our day to day life. 'Sat ' stands for truth. 'Chit' stands for wisdom. 'Ananda' is the bliss or happiness that is essential for our life. Enter the path of truth, make an enquiry within using wisdom, then you become one with bliss and earn happiness. Do not believe the world, do not fear death, do not forget God, these are the three things which you have to keep firmly in mind. These three aspects are the three aspects of divinity which we call Dattatreya.
